Autopilot as a coding agent in Studio Web: what it does across project types, and how it differs from Studio Desktop.

Autopilot in Studio Web is an agentic AI assistant that plans, builds, runs, debugs, and explains automations across the project types you build in the browser. It runs on the same skills and UiPath CLI (uip) tooling as the coding agent in Studio Desktop, adapted to the project type you have open.

Studio Web has no version or installation prerequisite. Open a project and Autopilot loads the UiPath skills for that project type and connects to your project, tenant, and Orchestrator directly from the browser.

Utilisez Autopilot pour:

• Plan an automation from a PDD, SDD, or plain-language requirement, then build it.
• Publish and deploy a solution to Orchestrator.
• Run a project, read the failure, and identify the cause.
• Explain a project you have never seen before, step by step.
• Restructure a project and add missing error handling or logging.

Autopilot is included with your license, within a monthly usage allowance per user, and is governed centrally: administrators control available models, autonomy level, enabled tools, and allowed MCP servers through Automation Ops, and every model request routes through the AI Trust Layer. Everything Autopilot does in a project remains something you can open, inspect, edit, and govern yourself in Studio Web.

Types de projet

Autopilot exposes a different set of skills and tools depending on the project type you have open:

• Maestro Flow — Build flows, wire nodes to published processes, and validate and run them.
• Maestro BPMN — Generate and edit BPMN diagrams and keep them in step with the implementation.
• Maestro Case — Draft case plans and stages, and manage instances, processes, and incidents.
• Agent — Scaffold agents with their prompts, tools, and memory, and build evaluation sets and guardrails.
• API workflows — Build workflows from a description, wire connector activities, and validate and run them.
• RPA workflows — Read and edit RPA workflow files.
• Coded apps — Read and edit Coded App source files.
• Functions — Read and edit Function source files.
