Use Desktop Outlook App

UiPath.Mail.Activities.Business.OutlookApplicationCard

Selects an account from the desktop Outlook application to use in your automation and enables StudioX to integrate with Outlook. After you add this activity, add the activities that work with data from the account inside Use Desktop Outlook App. When you configure the activities added inside it, you can select data from the account directly from StudioX.

You can add UI Automation activities directly in the Use Desktop Outlook App activity to quickly automate the interface of Outlook. For this to work, you need to have only one Outlook window open on your machine.

Configuring the Activity

In the Body of the Activity

• Account - StudioX automatically selects the default Outlook account. You can select another personal account or shared mailbox from the drop-down menu. If a shared mailbox you are a member of does not appear in the menu, you must first manually add it in Outlook.
• Reference as - Enter a name by which to refer to the Outlook account in the automation project.

• DisplayName - The name displayed for the activity in the Designer panel..

File

• Account - See Account in the body of the activity.

Misc

• Private - If selected, the values of variables and arguments are no longer logged at Verbose level.

Options

• Account mismatch behavior - Select how the activity should behave in case the email account stored in your project cannot be matched. The available options are UseDefaultEmailAccount and Fail. The default option is UseDefaultEmailAccount.
