Step 2: Configuring Azure DevOps connection

Configure the connection settings in Test Manager and the UiPath Azure DevOps Extension to link your Azure DevOps project with Test Manager.

An Azure DevOps connection links a Test Manager project to your Azure DevOps project.

Setting up an Azure DevOps connection

The connection uses the Azure DevOps server URL and a personal access token, and it is completed in the UiPath® Azure DevOps Extension.

Pré-requisitos

• A Test Manager administrator account.
• To save the UiPath® Test Manager extension on Azure DevOps, you must be an Azure Administrator user.

Etapas

1. Faça login no Test Manager como Administrator

2. Abra seu projeto.

3. Navigate to Project Settings > Integration.

4. Selecione Nova conexão e selecione Azure DevOps no menu suspenso.

5. Defina as seguintes configurações de conexão:

   • Name: Enter a name for your Azure DevOps connection.

   • Descrição (opcional): adicione uma descrição para referência.

   • Server URL: Add the Azure DevOps server URL. For example: https://company-name-serverRegion.cloudapp.azure.com.

   • Personal Access Token: Create a personal access token (PAT) and paste it into this field to authorize Test Manager to perform actions.

     AVISO:

     When you create the Azure DevOps connection, the PAT needs full access to Azure DevOps services: select Full access under Scopes when you create or edit a PAT. After the connection is finished, you can reduce the PAT scopes to : Test Management - Read & Write, and Work Items - Read & Write. For more information, see Use personal access tokens.

   • Defect Type: Enter an object type used for bug reporting in Azure DevOps. Otherwise, leave empty if you do not want to use defect integration. Enter a defect type based on what object type you have selected for your newly created Azure DevOps project. For example: Bug or Issue.

   • Project Name: Enter your Azure DevOps project name.

   

6. Selecione a conexão para expandir o painel e copie a Chave de API para uso posterior.

7. Open your project in Azure DevOps and go to Project settings.

8. Em Extensões, acesse UiPath® Test Manager.

9. Defina as seguintes configurações de extensão:

   • Requirement Types: Select the types of objects you want to assign a test to. These show up as requirements in Test Manager. For more information, see Requirements.
   • URL do servidor: adicione a URL do Test Manager. A URL deve ter o seguinte formato: https://cloud.uipath.com/{organizationName}/{tenantName}/testmanager_.
   • API: Paste the API key.
   • Manage Tests with Azure DevOps: Select this option to manage your tests through Azure DevOps. Otherwise, leave this option off, to manage your tests through Test Manager.

10. Selecione Salvar.

    

Resultado

The Azure DevOps project is connected to Test Manager, with the connection configured in Test Manager and the extension settings saved in Azure DevOps.

Editing an Azure DevOps connection

Editing a connection changes the settings of an existing Azure DevOps connection.

Pré-requisitos

• A Test Manager administrator account.
• An existing Azure DevOps connection.

Etapas

1. Faça login no Test Manager como Administrator
2. Abra seu projeto.
3. Selecione o botão Configurações para abrir as configurações do projeto.
4. Na lista Integração, selecione uma conexão do Azure DevOps para expandir o painel.
5. Selecione Editar para configurar a conexão.
6. Selecione Salvar para confirmar.

Resultado

The Azure DevOps connection settings are updated with your changes.

Deleting an Azure DevOps connection

Deleting a connection removes it together with its associated requirements.

Pré-requisitos

An existing Azure DevOps connection.

Etapas

1. Faça login no Test Manager como Administrator
2. Abra seu projeto.
3. Selecione o botão Configurações para abrir as configurações do projeto.
4. Na lista Integração, selecione uma conexão do Azure DevOps para expandir o painel.
5. Selecione Excluir para remover a conexão.
6. Selecione OK para confirmar.

Resultado

The Azure DevOps connection and its associated requirements are removed from your project.
