Erratum: Added 12 December 2022

When you clicked UiPath Administration, you were redirected to the Automation Cloud home page. Now, you are correctly directed to the Administration main page.

Process Mining Available for Trial

If you are on the Enterprise licensing plan and don't already own a license for UiPath Process Mining, you can start a free 60-day trial to evaluate how Process Mining can help your automation efforts.

You can start a trial for this service from the Trial Services tab of the organization-level Licenses page.

Fine-grained Permissions for External Apps

Administrators can now configure fine-grained tenant or folder permissions for confidential apps by assigning them to folders or tenants in Orchestrator. An external app gets the permissions required to perform particular operations in a folder or tenant through one or more roles.

The app gets the union of all scopes defined for it in Automation Cloud and Orchestrator. Deleting either of these scopes leaves the app with access levels according to the remaining scope.

You can also use groups to simplify external app management, as groups allow you to manage objects with similar needs together.

Read more about configuring fine-grained permissions for external apps.

AI Units Availability

We are excited to announce that AI Units, the new licensing approach for all AI products, is now visible for the following products:

  • AI Center
  • Document Understanding
  • Task Mining

SAML POST Binding

Erratum: Added 12 December 2022

When configuring the SAML integration for your organization, we now also support the HTTP POST option for the SAML binding type setting.

Depending on how you set up the identity provider, you can now select HTTP redirect to use URL parameters, or HTTP POST to use an HTML form with base64-encoded content instead.

Customized Home Page for Citizen Developers

We've tailored the Automation Cloud home page to fit the needs of all citizen developers out there. The new home page view helps you quickly find and run frequently used automations, or view your Action Center tasks without having to navigate away. The new home page design is visible only to users that have a Citizen Developer license assigned to them. Nothing changes for users with other license types, as they see the original home page.

Licensing Updates

A new plan and a new license type have been added to the UiPath offering.

Free plan

This is now the default plan for downgrades from Pro Trial, Pro, and Enterprise.

For more information about what exactly is included in the Freeplan, see Plans comparison.

Automation Express license

Automation Express is a type of user license included for free in these licensing plans: Free, Pro Trial, Pro, and Enterprise.

It grants limited access to the following:

  • StudioX and Studio Web

    • Studio Web is only available in the Free and the Pro Trial plans.
  • Automation Cloud features
  • UiPath Assistant

This type of license is not governable through Automation Ops governance policies.

Automation Express group

This update also brings a new group, aptly named Automation Express, which can be used to assign organization- and service-level roles to the users within that group.

For more information about the Automation Express license type, visit the UiPath licensing portal.

Delayed Update Organizations

This feature is available for enterprise customers with an Advanced Tier license.

Please contact the UiPath Sales team for more information on how to become an Advance Tier customer.

With Delayed Update organizations, you benefit from a minimum of two weeks from the time updates are announced in these release notes before the changes reach your organization. This allows you to prepare for upcoming changes before they reach your production environment.

For more information about our delayed release strategy, see When do updates become available.

Audit Logs New Endpoints

Erratum: Added 17 November 2022

The AuditQuery endpoints present in the Identity API are deprecated, and replaced by the following:

  • /identity_/api/AuditQuery/{organizationId} -> /audit_/api/auditlogs
  • /identity_/api/AuditQuery/{organizationId}/download -> /audit_/api/auditlogs/download

When Can I See These Changes?

The date when a change is first announced in the release notes is the date when it first becomes available.

If you don't see the change yet, you can expect to see it soon, after we roll out changes to all the regions.

Deprecation Timeline

We recommend that you regularly check the deprecation timeline for any updates regarding features that will be deprecated and removed.
