IP Restriction is Now GA

The IP Restriction feature, which was up to now available in preview, is now generally available (GA).

The feature is only available to customers who have an Enterprise licensing plan which includes the Advanced Tier licensing SKU.

Warning:

Breaking change

If you do not own an Enterprise Advanced Tier license, IP Restriction becomes unavailable, even if you were able to use this feature while it was in preview.

If necessary, you are responsible for enforcing alternative security measures to maintain any access restrictions for your Automation Cloud organization.

Changes since preview:

  • You can now upload IP ranges in bulk. For instructions, see Adding trusted IPs in bulk in Restricting Access by IP.

  • The incompatibility for using the Automation Cloud Migration Tool while IP Restriction is active has been removed. Now, as long as you are running the tool from a trusted IP, the tool works.

Tags Management Hub

We now offer a central location for managing the tags you use throughout our services. The aptly named Tags page is available in the Admin section of your Automation Cloud account, at the tenant level. It allows you to add, edit, and remove tags from one single location, eliminating the need to repeatedly access individual objects for tagging purposes.

Host Feed Changes

The URL of the official host feed for packages will be changed to https://pkgs.dev.azure.com/uipath/Public.Feeds/_packaging/UiPath-Official/nuget/v3/index.json, and the Myget feed will be deprecated. This change will be applied in one week for Community users, and two weeks for Enterprise users.
If you are using a firewall, make sure to add https://pkgs.dev.azure.com to the allow list for your firewall. Otherwise, you will no longer be able to download official UiPath libraries.

Update - 1 March 2023: For Enterprise users, the target date for this change has been pushed to 27 April.

Decrease Licenses in Your Plan

If you are on the Pro plan, when customizing the number of licenses for your plan, you can now also choose to reduce the number of licenses.

You can make this change at any time and it applies for your next plan month.

For more information, see Customizing your subscription and License decrease in Purchasing Licenses.

When Can I See These Changes?

The date when a change is first announced in the release notes is the date when it first becomes available.

If you don't see the change yet, you can expect to see it soon, after we roll out changes to all the regions.

Deprecation Timeline

We recommend that you regularly check the deprecation timeline for any updates regarding features that will be deprecated and removed.
