2024.10 Enterprise Release

Release date: November 11, 2024

We're thrilled to unveil the 2024.10 Enterprise Release.

This version is packed with an array of new functionalities, enhanced features, as well as bug fixes. We encourage you to take some time to familiarize yourself with the changes detailed in these release notes to make the most out of this release.

What's new

Autopilot for everyone has been launched

Your AI-driven automation companion has arrived. Accessible from within Assistant, Autopilot for everyone simplifies your daily tasks with over 100 ready-to-use automations. Chat with Autopilot as you would do with your favorite coworker and take advantage of its capabilities.

Clipboard AI long-awaited general availability is here

Good things come in pairs, so Clipboard AI also delivers its generally available version with every installation of Autopilot for everyone. This means you can benefit from AI-driven copy-paste capabilities within Autopilot and beyond.

New Autopilot features in Studio and StudioX

In Studio and StudioX, the new Autopilot panel makes the development process more accessible and efficient. You can also use Autopilot to generate workflows from empty sequences (including the main sequence) and activity output variables, which are then automatically used in subsequent activities.

Convert manual tests to low-code automations

The tool set for generating automated tests based on manual test scenarios is now complete: Autopilot allows you to generate fully functional low-code test cases from manual tests created in Test Manager.

Automation Suite on OpenShift

You can now deploy the UiPath® automation platform on the OpenShift Container Platform from Red Hat. Automation Suite on OpenShift is the third Automation Suite flavor we have introduced.

Make sure to check out the supported products and what requirements you must meet to install Automation Suite on OpenShift. If you are still not sure which Automation Suite flavor best caters to your needs, make sure to refer to the cross-deployment model feature comparison.

Lite mode for Automation Suite

Lite mode, a new deployment profile, is available for Automation Suite on EKS/AKS and Automation Suite on Linux. You can now start small and scale your infrastructure to enable high availability as needed. This resource-efficient solution is ideal for minimal setups, smaller infrastructure costs, and small use cases.

Shared cluster support for Automation Suite

You can now deploy Automation Suite EKS/AKS and Automation Suite on OpenShift to a cluster shared with your other software. This new capability brings benefits such as:

  • More granular control over the installation process, since admin privileges are no longer required
  • Reduced time to deploy
  • Lower total cost of ownership compared to deploying to a dedicated cluster provisioned specifically for Automation Suite

Integration Service in Automation Suite on EKS/AKS

Integration Service is now available in Automation Suite on EKS/AKS. Integration Service in Automation Suite features a user interface that allows you to install and publish only the connectors you need. The dedicated UI streamlines the process of publishing, managing, and maintaining connectors without unnecessary installations or testing.

For more information, see the brand new Integration Service in Automation Suite User Guide.

Studio Web in Automation Suite on EKS/AKS

Studio Web is now available in Automation Suite on EKS/AKS. This new deployment option brings Studio Web capabilities to the UiPath on-premises automation platform.

For more information, see the brand new Studio Web for Automation Suite User Guide.

Document Understanding™ modern projects

We are excited to announce that Document Understanding modern projects are now available in Automation Suite. This new interface and experience provides significant improvements in model training. It leverages AI to guide you through the process using automatic annotation. Furthermore, if offers recommendations on how to improve your model accuracy with the most informative examples. Document Understanding modern projects are available in the following Automation Suite configurations:

  • Automation Suite on Linux online deployments
  • Automation Suite on EKS/AKS online deployments

UiPath Extended Languages OCR

UiPath Extended Languages OCR can digitize documents in over 200 languages, bringing a significant improvement over its predecessor, especially in regards to Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Additionally, it can process documents in Thai, Vietnamese, all major languages from India, languages using the Cyrillic alphabet, as well as Greek.

Document Understanding™ REST APIs

You can now use Document Understanding REST APIs as an alternative to the RPA approach.

For more information, check the Document Understanding API Guide.

RealVNC for live streaming and remote control

The Orchestrator live streaming and remote control feature is now also available via RealVNC, which provides a smoother streaming experience. This is included in the Studio installation package and requires no configuration whatsoever.

For more information, check out Live streaming and remote control via RealVNC.

Enhanced queue experience

Orchestrator queues form the basis of many automations, which is why we have focused our efforts on adding highly requested options and optimizing your experience. You can now manually delete In Progress queue items, auto-retry queue items by type, ensure the traceability of queue item retries through several new fields, and stay on top of your exports with new report columns. What is more, we have implemented a mechanism which assesses queue conditions and re-triggers a job when possible, thus optimizing workflows.

Streamlined operational efficiency

We have optimized the way you view and act on Orchestrator data. Job and queue transaction data is now available in an expandable side panel format, which includes a video timeline and logs combination, for enhanced troubleshooting. On top of that, information is available in a high-density mode, and most filters now allow multiple selection.

New UI and UX in Assistant

The latest version of UiPath Assistant comes with an enhanced user interface and experience, new tabs for job details and configuration, a new Safari extension for Mac, and screen reader improvements for better accessibility.

Record coded automations

In an effort to reduce the time spent on designing complex coded automations, you can now create a coded workflow from a screen recorder. For more information, visit Automatic recording.

SAP Change Impact Analysis

Analyze and manage the impact of SAP software changes using the Change Impact Analysis available in Test Manager. The process starts with collecting information about transactions using the SAP Testing Project template. Next, discover affected transactions not covered by tests (gaps) with the Change Impact Analysis. Lastly, create test cases for gaps not included in your regression portfolio.

For more information, visit Change Impact Analysis for more information.

Compare text and PDF files

The Testing activities and APIs help you compare texts or PDF files. You can configure your comparison using designated comparison types, such as lines, characters, or words. Additionally, you can establish custom rules, using regular expressions or wildcard syntax, to exclude specific segments from the comparison process.

For more information about the comparison process in low-code or coded automations, visit the following:

Idea Flow Customization available in Automation Hub

The new Idea Flow Customization feature allows you to personalize your idea flow to meet your unique needs. You can change the title, select assessments that align with your concept, adjust their sequence, and control their visibility at each stage to create a flow that perfectly fits your requirements.

For more information, see the Idea flow overview.

Integrated Apps and Action Center

With the preview phase officially complete, the integration between Apps and Action Center is now generally available. You can effortlessly build your human task interface on Apps with increased agility and reduced complexity.

For more information about creating an action app, see Action apps.

Upcoming deprecations and removals

We recommend that you regularly check the deprecation timeline for any updates regarding features that will be deprecated and removed.
