About Release Versions

Versioning

UiPath uses calendar versioning, labeling its products with the year of the release (major) followed by the month (minor) and the patch (micro) version.

For example, a product released in the year 2020, in the month of October, with a patch version of 2 will be labeled 2020.10.2.

A shortened version with only the last two digits of the year can also be used, meaning that instead of 2020.10.2 you may find 20.10.2. Both the long and short form year references point to the same product version and are used interchangeably.

Enterprise Patches

UiPath periodically releases patches that include fixes and improvements when there is a business need. The documentation for a specific version reflects the latest patch on that version. Product changes in-between patches can be checked in the release notes.

For example, in February 2022, the documentation for 2021.10 Orchestrator illustrates its latest patch, namely 2021.10.2. For changes made in between the different patches, check the release notes.
