  • Addendum - added 21 November 2024: Jira Cloud integration is now available in Automation Hub on Automation Suite. Automation Hub users can now easily submit or link Jira tickets from Automation Hub ideas.

To learn more, check out Using the Jira Integration page.

  • The new Idea Flow Customization is now available. Tailor your idea flow to your needs by modifying titles, selecting assessments that match your concept, arranging them in any sequence you prefer, and managing their visibility at each stage.
Key features of the enhanced Idea Flow Customization include:
    • Comprehensive idea flow editor.
    • Redesigned assessment visibility controls.
    • New success screen customization options.
    • New options for idea access pages.
    • Status color codes.
    • Email templates customization.
    • Improved permission management.

  • The integration of Automation Hub with Task Mining (formerly named Assisted Task Mining) enables organizations to build a streamlined pipeline for automation. Once the tasks are identified through Task Mining, these tasks can be directly fed into the Automation Hub. This eliminates the need for manual input and provides data-driven suggestions to ensure successful automation.

    With the integration:

    • Task Mining can discover and analyze user interactions
    • You can send automated tasks directly into Automation Hub for further assessment and execution
    • The automation pipeline is streamlined, reducing the time between task identification and automation
    • The repetitive, time-consuming tasks can be automated, making employees more productive by focusing on more creative and strategic tasks.
  • We have launched a series of performance improvements to reduce load time in the following situtations:
    • When viewing the Explore Automation Program page and the Automation Pipeline page,
    • When viewing an Idea Profile,
    • When downloading a Pipeline CSV.
  • For better visibility, we are now also displaying the pipeline view count under the name of the view.
  • We have updated the permissions for the System Admin role to match those of the Account Owner role.
  • Open API: You can now update fields of questions that are hidden because of a branching question.
  • Adding reference questions from and to any assessment is now possible.
  • OpenAPI: POST /idea-from-schema now allows you to override the submitter.
  • OpenAPI: OpenAPI responses now contain detailed information about validation errors.
  • Admin console > Platform setup > Customize assessments: You're no longer able to delete the Description question from an assessment.
  • Automation Profile page > Edit mode: After converting an Idea to a Change request, it's not possible to change the parent automation anymore.
  • Idea Profile: The Process Owner is now automatically selected if there is only one option available.
  • Improved the saving time on actions performed in the UiPath Automation Hub platform.
  • Idea type and Idea flow variable columns are now visible in Planning report and Cost report from Dashboards section, replacing Idea source column.
  • Phase and Status from Automation Pipeline are now sorted alphabetically instead of order of flow.
  • Reduced Automation Hub load times during sign-in and report generation.
  • Introducing Data Residency in the United Kingdom and India As part of our commitment to empowering organizations with control over their data, we are providing complete data sovereignty for the United Kingdom and India regions. We use replication capabilities to securely store data in multiple availability zones within the region.

To learn more about the available tenant regions and the services offered in each region, explore our resources on Data residency.

  • We’ve redesigned the Automation Pipeline page to provide greater flexibility when creating and sharing customized pipeline views.
  • Based on your feedback, you can now set all assessments questions as required before transitioning to the next status. Just turn on the Require assessments to be filled in option while customizing an idea flow.
  • All dates in assessment questions have been set to display the same value no matter what time zone a user is in. Due to this adjustment, some dates might appear to have changed by a day.

Bug fixes

  • We've addressed a localization issue that was identified on the Task Mining page. Previously, while attempting to export a trace to Automation Hub from the Discovery Results section of any project, you'd find that the entire menu was untranslated.
  • Automation Profile > Edit mode: Removing any package from the Execution Assessment table always removed the last one instead of the required one.
  • Automation Profile > Edit mode: The date format didn't correctly update when switching the language to Japanese.
  • Automation Profile: Fixed performance issues when opening Cost Benefits Analysis for ideas.
  • Automation Profile: Newly added collaborator was removed if the idea was transitioned to another status, without saving the idea before.
  • Automation Profile: The placeholder was still visible even if the data loaded successfully.
  • Admin Console > Platform setup > Idea flow customization > Idea flow settings: The assessment versions picker in the assessment section was blocked by the context dialog.
  • Admin Console > Platform setup > Customize assessments: All mandatory file questions became non-mandatory after adding a custom question that requires a file upload.
  • Workspace > Automation Pipeline: Export to CSV wasn't downloading all the ideas properly.
  • Workspace > Automation Pipeline: No values were shown in the Application Used column for automations that had more than one applications used.
  • Workspace > Automation Pipeline: Launch date wasn't updated after manually filling the the Actual & New Estimate table within the Cost Benefit Analysis.
  • Workspace > Automation Pipeline: Users couldn’t update Priority values even if they had the correct permissions assigned and also the field value wasn't set properly.
  • Workspace > Automation Pipeline: Information wasn't shown in some columns for ideas saved after end of September 2023.
  • In some cases Development Type would show different values in the Profile versus Pipeline.
  • Transitioning between statuses was throwing an error for certain users with the Process Owner roles assigned.
  • The publishing sidebar wasn't showing any sections marked as Visible before publishing to Store even if the visibility condition was marked by default in the Detailed Assessment.
  • Users that established a connection to their Azure Active Directory (AAD) account via Automation Cloud didn't have their attributes automatically synced from AAD.
  • In certain cases users could be able to see KPI's marked as Sensitive Information.
  • Automation Idea: The removal of the process owner from an idea didn't persist after saving and, instead, automatically assigned the last chosen process owner.
  • Automation Idea: New components were automatically linked to Onboarding for new employee automation.
  • OpenAPI: Inconsistent behavior during application updates within an idea has been resolved. Previously, in certain instances, when two applications were added, only one would be displayed. Similarly, when three applications were present, only two would be updated.
  • Insights - Automation Hub Integration: Data coming from Automation Hub wasn't updating in Automation ROI Comparison Dashboard for UiPath Insights.
  • OpenAPI: When fetching data using Automation Hub API, the Qualification Phase Approver field showed the submitter's name instead of the actual approver's name.
  • Dashboards > Automation Program Performance: the Pipeline Evolution Chart didn't show the correct results if the year was changed.
  • Admin Console > Manage Access > Assign Roles: Filtering users with Inactive Status in combination with any other filter was showing wrong results.
  • Admin Console > Platform setup > Import pipeline: Some entries were shown with wrong phase and status after importing a pipeline.
  • Azure Active Directory: AAD user attributes weren't properly synced after the user logged in for the first time.
  • Submit idea: The process owners didn't receive an email notification upon submission of a CoE-driven idea.
  • Submit idea: Users could input characters that didn't match the designated question type in Automation Hub.
  • Submit idea: When submitting idea drafts, if the error Automation ID already exists was shown, and the user selected the cancel action, the idea draft was deleted.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented the Process Owner from being deselected in Submit Idea - Assign Process Owner.
  • Automation Program: Searching by Idea flow type returned no results.
  • Import pipeline: After importing ideas via a CSV file, the Launch Date column for imported ideas had the import date set rather than the date specified in the CSV file.
  • Documentation from Automation Profile: The error message displayed for a process linked to a Task Mining project wasn't localized for Japanese.
  • Notifications: Notifications weren't sent to submitters upon rejection of their ideas.
  • The Process Owner wasn't notified when an employee driven idea was submitted.
  • The CSV files downloaded through the Automation pipeline's Download CSV option, in certain cases, displayed an incorrect date in the Date Submitted field.
  • Fixed an issue in the Average Automation Cost dashboard where data didn't load despite applying filters such as Submitter's Business Unit, Phase, Status, Business Area, and Category.
  • The filtering didn't function in the Automation pipeline when non-English tags were used.
  • Some ideas containing errors couldn't be deleted and would not open or display any data.
  • Fixed a bug which in certain cases caused duplicate reports to be shown under Cost Reports.
  • Transitions in Automation Pipeline for Change Idea Flow are now working properly.
  • User permissions checkboxes wouldn't prefill based on idea flow roles, and selecting an unchecked box wouldn't always assign the correct permissions.
  • An issue was preventing complete removal of answers to questions in a customized assessment. Now, changes are properly saved.
  • Navigating back to the Change Request tab would not display list of change requests, and refreshing the page was necessary. This behavior no longer occurs.
  • The Customize Assessments page does not display questions from archived or deleted assessments versions anymore.
  • The Priority column would incorrectly display #127 for ideas without a set priority.
  • Responses from Customized Assessments endpoints would return date-time values in epoch format. Now they’re correctly using standard format.
  • Changes made solely to the Category field of an idea would not be persisted to the History logs.
  • Exported CSV files of the automation pipeline used to display the incorrect Process Owner.
  • The system incorrectly flagged an error message "An answer selection is required for submission" every time you edited and saved a process, even when you haven’t made any updates to the required document question.

Known limitation

  • We have removed the Object Reference and Event Log audit logs for new Automation Hub instances. For existing instances, we will stop writing to these audit logs. If you need these capabilities, please contact support to re-enable them. However, note that re-enabling these logs may slow down product performance.
