Customization Examples
Here you can find some real-life examples for applying the customization of assessments.
Some questions part of the assessment have fixed values. To avoid having the employees input the same answer each time they fill in the assessment, use the pre-fill answers setting following the steps below:
- Access the Customize assessments page.
- In the detailed assessment section, identify the assessment version that needs to be modified.
- Select the Customize action.
- Identify the questions that require default values such as Average working days per year, Working hours per day.
- Turn ON the Pre-fill answers setting.
-
Add the default value in the Pre-filled answer field.
The example below shows how to create an indicator for capturing each automation idea's qualitative score (with values from 0 to 100). Besides the built-in benefits expressed in hours saved, FTEs or currency, an admin can calculate a qualitative score for comparing automations in terms of soft benefits.
Follow the below steps:
- Access the Customize assessments page.
- In the detailed assessment section, identify the assessment version that needs to be modified.
- Select the Customize action.
- Navigate to the appropriate section for creating the new question and KPI.
- Create a new question of type Multiple choice.
- Add the title, a description if needed, and the variable name.
- Define the soft benefits in the Answer options.
- Add an answer score for each benefit according to its importance in the overall score. To obtain a score between 0 to 100, make sure that the sum of the answer scores is 100.
- Create a new KPI of type Number - Add the title, a description if needed, and the variable name.
- In the Formula field, select the variable of the question you have just defined. The system performs the sum of the selected answers for any multiple choice question, which will be our final qualitative score of the idea.
-
Select Preview, add some answers to the new question, and observe if the KPI has the correct score calculated.
The example below shows how to create a new question related to fines or penalties that an organization is facing if the target date of an SLA is exceeded. The formula of the final benefit at the level of the company expressed in currency will be modified in order to include this cost avoidance.
Steps:
- Access the Customize assessments page
- Detailed assessment section
- Identify the version of the assessment that needs to be modified
- Select the Customize action
- Navigate to the appropriate section for creating the new question and KPI
- Create a new question of type Number
- Add the title, a description if needed and the variable name
- Select in the KPIs Impacted list the indicator whose formula needs to be adjusted
- Modify the formula
-
Select Preview, add an answer to the new question and observe if the KPI has the correct value calculated.
