Automation Hub User Guide
Role Description and Matrix
Using roles you can control user access to Automation Hub sections and its functionality. By default, the Standard User role is assigned to all newly created users however, the system offers the possibility to assign other default or customized roles to the users. Furthermore, the platform provides the options that allow you to implement secure user layers in the tenant by partitioning control in the pipeline and granting access rights granularly per category and action type. Essentially for each user account, you can define the ideas categories that they can access, in order to better control their rights to create, view, edit, and manage the ideas and components in Automation Hub.
Details about each Role and its designated permissions are available in the platform by accessing the Admin Console > Manage Access > Roles > Roles or below, in the Default Roles section.
Besides the below roles, we have implemented a special category of roles designed to support the management of Automation submissions and flow. Please check the Citizen Developer Roles and Collaborator Roles page for details.
By accessing the Roles page from the platform you can also check out the two Help sections providing details about What are roles? and How do the tables work?. To dismiss them click the X icon on the top right corner. Once dismissed, the sections are not displayed anymore when the Roles page is accessed the next time. To see again the section click the Help icon.
To better integrate your company particularities, besides the default non-editable roles, Automation Hub offers the possibility to add new, customized roles. Please check the Creating a New User Role page for more details.
Below you can find a table containing the Automation Hub default roles.
- These roles cannot be edited, disabled, or deleted because they are connected to the way the Automation Hub works.
- You can assign multiple roles to the user account and, for each role, define the idea categories corresponding to the type of access you want the user to have.
