About the Abbyy Activities Package

The UiPath.Abbyy.Activities pack can be used for extracting intelligent data and document capture processes from both structured and unstructured documents and it can work with the FineReader and FlexiCapture Abbyy product families.

Installing Abbyy on your machine

Follow the next steps for installing the Abbyy FlexiCapture:

1. Download the Abbyy FlexiCapture from here
2. Acquire a valid Abbyy FlexiCapture 12 license
3. Make sure that UiPath Studio is installed on your machine before installing Abbyy FlexiCapture
4. Install Abbyy Flexicapture. You can use the setup.exe file or the command line

5. Choose the 32bit(x86) version of Abbyy FlexiCapture.

   Note: Errors can occur if Abbyy FlexiCapture is running with the 64bit version.

C# Project Flavor Support

• Starting with version 1.3.0, this activity package is validated for use in C# projects.

Version Compatibility

• This package version works only with UiPath.IntelligentOCR.Activities version 4.0.0 or higher and UiPath.UiAutomation.Activities version 19.11 or higher.

  Installing it along with any lower version can cause unexpected behavior and errors.

Using FlexiCapture

• ABBYY FlexiCapture Engine SDK is required if you want to use the FlexiCapture Classifier or FlexiCapture Extractor activities. The engine only works with an Abbyy FlexiCapture Engine StandAlone 12 license distributed by the UiPath sales department. To request a license, access the Contact us page, go to Technical Support & Activations, fill the form, and choose Service Request after providing a Name and Email.

• The FlexiCapture activities are validated to run on FlexiCapture Engine versions 12.1.23.17 and 12.0.0.150.

  Starting with UiPath.Abbyy.Activities version 1.4.1-preview, FlexiCapture Engine version 12.1.24.10 is supported as well.
