Guide de l’administrateur du Robot
Mettre à jour UiPath Robot
Before updating your Robot version, check the compatibility matrix.
We recommend updating your Orchestrator version first, followed by the Robot version. To apply the new settings, reconnect the Robots to Orchestrator.
-
Preserve the Robot operational mode: Service Mode or User Mode.
-
To use all the latest features, keep Robot, Studio, and Orchestrator on the same version.
-
Match Robot and Studio versions. Refer to the compatibility matrix for guidance.
-
Update Robot and Studio at the same time, if installed on the same machine.
-
UiPathRobot.msi
cannot update an olderUiPathStudio.msi
installation.
The update process differs on the installed Robot edition: Enterprise and Community.

To update a Robot that was initially installed in Service Mode, run

Updating stores activity packages in the
C:\Program Files\UiPath\Studio\Packages folder.
To update the Service Mode Robot from the command line, write:

When converting from Service Mode to User Mode, the Robot might not be able to access the
.xaml files from the original NuGet Packages folder.
Updating the configuration variables requires a Robot restart to take effect, but several changes in Orchestrator settings do not need a restart. These include:

Starting with version 2021.10, administrators can set up policies for automatically updating Studio, StudioX, Robot, and Assistant from Orchestrator. When a policy triggers the automatic update process, the UiPath Update Agent shows an Update Available notification, prompting you to start the update.
In unattended scenarios, the update service verifies that Robot, Studio, or Assistant are not executing any jobs or processes. Once this is confirmed, the update acknowledgment is sent back to the update server, triggering the update process.
Refer to the Update Service for more details.
Updating the Community edition of Studio and Robot depends on the type of license you used to activate them:
-
Activated with a Community license - updates Studio and Robot to the newest version available on the preferred update channel, Stable or Preview.
-
Activated with an Enterprise license - updates Studio and Robot to the newest Stable version, regardless of the update channel.
In unattended scenarios, the update service verifies that Robot, Studio, or Assistant are not executing any jobs or processes. Once this is confirmed, the update acknowledgment is sent back to the update server, triggering the update process.
Community Preview installations running version 2021.8 or later can automatically update to the latest Community Preview release.
Closing Studio during the automatic update process causes the Robot to lose the connection to Orchestrator. This issue does not occur with licensed installations.
