Trace details

Follow this step to view trace details.
  1. Select a trace to display trace details in the bottom panel on the left side.


Below is a description of the metrics.

Metric

Description

Recording user

The name of the recording user.

Date created

The date the trace was created.

Steps

The number of steps in the trace.

Duration

The actual amount of time it took to execute the trace.

Unaccounted time

The difference between the trace duration and the duration in Process Mining.

If there is a difference of more than 10% between the trace duration and the duration from Process Mining, a warning icon is displayed.
Note:

Unaccounted time is only displayed if there is a significant difference between actual duration and the expected duration.

Actions (#)

The number of actions in the trace.
Note:

For each category Mouse clicks, Text entries, Hotkeys, the number of actions and the total time is displayed.

Applications (#)

The number of applications recorded in the trace.

By default, the top 5 applications that are most used are displayed.

Note:

For each application/domain the percentage of trace execution time spent (excluding waiting time) and the total time spent (days hours minutes seconds) are displayed.

Appears in

If the Task Mining project was started from Process Mining, the name of the Process Mining process app, the duration of the activity, and the Process Mining activity are displayed.

Note:

You can select the name of the process app or th name of the activity to open the process app in Process Mining.

Unaccounted time

If there is a difference between the trace duration and the duration in Process Mining, this is indicated as Unaccounted Time. This enables you to analyze the difference. Based on the results, you may, for example, add additional steps to the trace, or add idle time for one or more steps.

Ideal trace

Note:

The Ideal trace option is only displayed for Task Mining projects that are connected to a Process Mining activity.

The Ideal trace option enables you to indicate which trace in the Task Mining project is representative of the Process Mining activity scenario. If you switch on the Ideal trace option for a trace, that trace will be displayed in Process Mining as the Task Mining trace for the activity.

If you select a different trace as the Ideal trace, a confirmation message is displayed, indicating that there is already a trace linked to Process Mining.

Note:

By default, the Ideal trace option is switched off for all traces in the project.

Adding idle time

Follow these steps to add idle time.

  1. Locate the connection btween the steps for which you want to add idle time.

  2. Hover over the plus (+) sign, and select Add idle time.

    An clock icon and an idle time field are added in the trace.

  3. Edit the Duration field in the Idle time panel at the right and enter the idle time.

  4. If desired, add a Description to describe the reason for the idle time.
