Task Capture

Last updated May 13, 2024

Integration With Automation Hub and Test Manager

In case you cannot open Task Capture from Automation Hub or Test Manager or if the export to any of these platforms is not displayed when accessing the Export & Publish page after installing the MSI installer the following troubleshooting can solve the issue:

Start with the following steps:

  1. Install Task Capture using the 20.4.2 or above version of the .exe installer.
  2. Uninstall the Task Capture 20.4.2 or above version.
  3. Access the Task Capture installed using the .msi installer.

If this does not solve the issue remove Task Capture/Explorer Expert data from Windows Registry by following the instructions below:

  1. Press the Windows + R hotkeys from your keyboard.
  2. The Run pop-up is displayed. Type regedit. Click OK.
  3. Open Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\uipathtaskcapture directory.
  4. Search for the guid (global unique identifier) record containing task-capture or explorer-expert in its properties. Delete that record.

    1. If you do not have access to the guide record you can delete the uipathtaskcapture folder.

  5. Try to install the TaskCapture.msi version again.
