File Option

The File menu contains the following commands:



Document Properties

Add the Title,Description, and Author of the document.

Note: To change the name of the document click the Guide Title icon displayed as a writing pencil.


New

Open a new process page and document it using either the Create Diagram or Capture Process option.



Open

Open a previously created process to continue working on it. This option is similar to Open File From PC.

Save

Save the changes made in your process.

Note: Alternatively, you can click the Save icon available on the top left corner of the window.


Save as

Select the location and the File name where to save the document on your PC.

Note: The default File name has the following format: day Month at hour when the workflow was saved.


Export and Publish

The below export options are available:

  • Export to Word - enables you to export the workflow diagram in Word format and edit it whenever needed.
  • UiPath Studio - enables you to export the workflow template in XAML format to UiPath Studio and continue the robot implementation and debugging.
  • Automation Hub - enables you to export the Process Definition Document to Automation Hub and continue towards the automation of your process.
  • Test Manager - enables you to export the workflow diagram in Test Manager in order to document your Test Case.

Access the Export and Publish to get detailed information on how to use the above-mentioned options.

Here you can set the rules for the annotations in the Image Editor.

  • Shapes

    1. Fill Сolor – choose the background color.
    2. Outline Сolor - choose the color of the frame of a Rectangle/Rounded Rectangle/Ellipse.
    3. Outline Width – choose the width of the frame of a Rectangle/Rounded Rectangle/Ellipse.
    4. Shadow – add/remove shadows.



  • Lines

    1. Outline Сolor - choose the color of the frame of a Rectangle/Rounded Rectangle/Ellipse.
    2. Outline Width – choose the width of the frame of a Rectangle/Rounded Rectangle/Ellipse.
    3. Shadow – add/remove shadows.



  • Sequences

    1. Fill Сolor– choose the background color.
    2. Outline Сolor - choose the color of the frame of a Rectangle/Rounded Rectangle/Ellipse.
    3. Outline Width – choose the width of the frame of a Rectangle/Rounded Rectangle/Ellipse.
    4. Shadow– add/remove shadows.



  • Highlight

    1. Fill Сolor – choose the background color.



  • Text

    1. Font Name
    2. Font-size
    3. Bold
    4. Italic
    5. Underline
    6. Font Color
    7. Fill Сolor – choose the background color.
    8. Outline Сolor - choose the color of the frame of a Rectangle/Rounded Rectangle/Ellipse.
    9. Outline Width – choose the width of the frame of a Rectangle/Rounded Rectangle/Ellipse
    10. Shadow – add/remove shadows.



License Details

This button enables you to view and update your license preference. For details about each option please check the Licensing page.



Note: If Task Capture is launched from Automation Hub, the license activates automatically. The License Details button is not available as there are no updates that can be applied to this type of plan. The activation status will still be displayed.

To remove automatically activated license files from your PC follow the steps below:

  1. Close all running Task Capture instances.
  2. Open the license folder from your PC. Depending on the type of file installed, there are two different paths:

    • for .exe use: %AppData%\Task Capture\UiPath Task Capture
    • for .msi use: %ProgramData%\UiPath Task Capture
  3. The license file(s) used for Task Capture is/are displayed. Delete it/them.



  4. Launch Task Capture.
  5. The Licensing pop-up page is displayed.
  6. Choose the license from the available options and activate it. The License Details button from the File option becomes available.
