Salesforce is a customer relationship management solution that brings companies and customers together. It's one integrated CRM platform that gives all your departments — including marketing, sales, commerce, and service — a single, shared view of every customer.
UiPath provides two integrations that enable automation between UiPath and Salesforce, the Salesforce Activities Package and the UiPath Connector for Salesforce. Both of these integrations offer different functionality to provide you with two-way automation capabilities (UiPath to Saleseforce and Salesforce to UiPath).
The Salesforce Activities Package enables outbound automation from UiPath to Salesforce. This outbound automation support gives you the ability to use a Robot to automate actions in the Salesforce platform.

Developed using Salesforce's Lightning Platform and available on the Salesfore AppExchange, the UiPath Connector for Salesforce ("connector") enables the inbound automation from Salesforce to UiPath. This inbound automation support gives you the ability create Orchestrator Jobs and/or add Queue items from Salesforce via Flow Builder or Process Builder.
To enable the inbound automation from Salesforce to UiPath Orchestrator, the connector establishes an authenticated connection to one or more of your Orchestrator Tenants.
To establish this connection you enter your Orchestrator authentication details (Orchestrator URL, Tenant name, username, and password) into the connector Connection Settings. When you submit your connection settings, the connector verifies the information and creates the connection.
After the connector creates the connection you can begin building your Templates. A template represents an association between a Salesforce object and an Orchestrator Process or Queue. This association enables the automated creation of an Orchestrator Job or addition of an Orchestrator Queue item when a Salesforce event occurs (e.g., record change).
When you finish building your templates you add them to one or more of your Salesforce business processes via Flow Builder or Process Builder. When your business process is invoked, the template tells the connector to send a Orchestrator Notification to the Orchestrator API and a new Job and/or Queue item is added.
Below are high-level architectural diagrams that show you how the connector works from design time (i.e., creating a connection and building a template) to run time (i.e., when the templates are invoked to create a new Job or Queue item).
At design time, you complete the following steps:
- Download the connector app in Salesforce.
- Add a connection between Salesforce and an Orchestrator Tenant.
- Create a Job Template and/or Queue Template.
At run time, you complete step 1 and the connector facilitates steps 2 and 3:
- Add the Job Template and/or Queue Template to your Salesforce business process via Flow Builder or Process Builder.
- A Salesforce event occurs, triggering the business process.
- A new Job and/or Queue item are sent to your UiPath Orchestrator via an Orchestrator Notification.
To use the connector, you must have your own instance of UiPath Orchestrator version 18.4 or higher.
To use Queue Templates, Orchestrator version 19.4 or higher is required.
The connector does not support the community version of UiPath Orchestrator (platform.uipath.com) or UiPath Enterprise Cloud Platform (cloud.uipath.com).
- Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.1 or higher as mandated by Salesforce policy.
