Routines troubleshooting
Diagnose and fix Delegate routine issues: routines that can't be found, missing inputs, partial failures, and scheduled runs that don't fire.
Routine not found
Cause 1: It was removed, or you're looking in the wrong place.
Solution 1: Check the Routines section of the sidebar.
Cause 2: It was imported from a file that's no longer available.
Solution 2: Re-import it from the original file.
Missing required input
Cause 1: A parameter wasn't provided when running it.
Solution 1: Fill in every prompted input.
Cause 2: A scheduled run has no value for a required input.
Solution 2:
- Set a fixed value for it.
- Or edit the routine to give it a sensible default.
Routine failed partway through
Cause 1: An action in the routine couldn't complete.
Solution 1:
- Check the error in the tool card.
- Confirm any input files still exist and are accessible.
Cause 2: A required connection is no longer active.
Solution 2:
- Reconnect it.
- Retry.
If it's hard to tell where it's failing, run the routine in Guided mode to see exactly where it stops.
Scheduled routine didn't run
Cause 1: Delegate wasn't running at the scheduled time.
Solution 1: Check the machine wasn't asleep — schedules don't run while asleep.
Cause 2: A connection the routine depends on expired.
Solution 2:
- Check its run status and history under Scheduled routines in the sidebar.
- Reconnect if needed.
