UiPath Release Notes

Release date: 26 April 2021

What’s New

  • We have switched to Identity Server for authentication and authorization purposes. Instead of relying on a host admin username and password, our Insights installation tools now require entering an Identity Endpoint and Installation Access Token. For more details, see Installation Access Token.

  • You can now configure the SQLServer timeout for queries running against the Orchestrator database to populate the Insights database. Use the new Insights.Ingestion.QueryTimeout setting available in Orchestrator’s UiPath.Orchestrator.dll.config file to make these changes.

  • We now offer limited support for multiple queues. The queue retains the folder name that it was originally created in, even if it gets shared with a different folder. The change does not impact the default dashboards that come with the product or reports.

Bug Fixes

  • We have fixed a SAN certificate issue that occurred when using multiple DNS hostnames. The problem would arise when the hostname was on the SAN list but was not the last value.

  • Users need a new Orchestrator Installation Access Token on every installation. The token is valid for 2 hours, after which it expires. Generate another if experiencing an installation failure.

Known Issues

  • If Insights and Orchestrator are not installed on the same domain, an error prompts the user. The fix entails reinstalling Insights or disabling CORS settings in Chrome.

  • When you decrease the number of allocated licenses for a user but do not make any subsequent changes during that day, the license count remains at the previous specified number. You can resort to the following workaround: first opt for a smaller number of licenses than you actually need, and then update it to the desired higher value. This ensures an accurate license count.

  • ElastiCubes may fail to build after restarting the machine hosting Insights. As a result, only the old data is displayed. If you encounter this issue, make sure to restart all services via services.msc and manually start the cube build.
