UiPath® Helix Extractor available in modern projects in US regions
We are excited to announce the availability of the UiPath Helix Extractor in Document Understanding™ modern projects. The Helix Extractor large language model (LLM) is our latest data extraction model technology, designed to replace current generation models used within Document Understanding.
Currently, the UiPath Helix Extractor is only available for US-based tenants. It will be gradually rolled out to all organizations within this region in the next two weeks. Support for other regions will come early next year.

User access management for AI-powered features
The AI Trust Layer governance policy is now available. This policy includes access control over AI-powered features in Document Understanding. Visit the Governance Policy settings in Automation Ops to learn how to manage the use of AI-powered features within your organization.

What's new
Download advanced metricsFrom the Metrics tab on the Measure page, you can now access advanced metrics for your extraction models using the new Download advanced metrics button. This feature allows you to download an Excel file with detailed metrics and model results per batch. For more information on how to monitor the performance of your models, check the Measure page.
IntelligentOCR support for modern projects in general availability
IntelligentOCR.Activities now supports consumption of modern Document Understanding projects, through a new set of activities targeting modern project usage. You can now use the following activities for consuming your modern Document Understanding projects and versions:
- Document Understanding Project Classifier, used within a Classify Document Scope activity.
- Document Understanding Project Extractor, used within a Data Extraction Scope activity.
