Test Manager API integration

Synchronization with external requirements

The main purpose of synchronizing artefacts such as requirements is to assign test cases to them. This shows the requirements that have been covered through the test cases. To achieve this, you need to synchronize all the requirements from your external tool to Test Manager. For details, see Requirements.

Defect creation in external tools

Test Manager provides a webhook that is invoked when you create a defect from a test case log (see Execution). You can configure an integration for your Test Manager project to receive test case log information required for defect creation (for example, Jira Server). You can quickly access the tool where the defects are created by navigating to Execution > Test Case Key > Defect.

Automation assignment to external test cases

Results fetching into external tools

要检索结果，您需要通过 Test Manager REST API 查询TestExecution对象。TestExecution对象由测试集执行期间生成的结果组成。TestExecution保存对表示测试用例结果的TestCaseLogs对象的引用。

You need to poll the results at regular intervals. Retrieving new results every 20 seconds or more is recommended.

Integration setup

您需要将集成设置为单个服务。只要外部工具可以使用 RESTful 网页服务，则外部工具使用的技术没有限制。
