Release notes Test Manager
What's new
OAuth support for SAP RISE compliance
We are introducing support for OAuth authentication for Heatmap and Change Impact Analysis in Test Manager. As of now, you can use either Basic authentication (username and password) or OAuth authentication (secure token and secure key).
In addition, the overall solution is now RISE-compliant, ensuring adherence to SAP’s strict requirements for SAP add-on development.
For more information, refer to the Heatmap and Change Impact Analysis prerequisites section.
Client field for SAP Basic web service
The Client field is mandatory when configuring the SAP Web Service (Basic) connection. Existing SAP connections will continue to work as before. If you decide to edit an existing SAP connection, you must specify the Client field to configure a valid connection.
Host Machine selection for Test Set execution
When executing tests, you can select the specific host machine on which test sets run. Until now, you could select only specific Orchestrator folders, robots and package versions, as part of test execution. For more information, refer to Configuring test sets for specific execution folders and robots.
Claude Sonnet 4.5 support
To ensure access to its AI-enabled features, Test Manager supports Claude Sonnet 4.5 in view of the upcoming retirement of the Claude Sonnet 3.7 model. To continue working, update and configure your LLM subscription against the latest supported LLM models.
What's new
Data residency in Switzerland for Test Manager
As part of our ongoing cloud expansion, we are bringing complete data sovereignty to the Switzerland region for Test Manager. This ensures your data is securely stored and replicated across multiple availability zones within Switzerland, offering full control and compliance confidence.
Breaking changes
Select Automation changed to Configure Automation
The Select Automation button, used to specify a folder and a robot for test set execution, is now called Configure Automation.
Performance Testing in ApplicationTesting Standard Trial
Performance Testing is available as part of the Application Testing Standard Trial platform plan for Unified Pricing licensing.
What's new
Automate tests in Studio Web
You can automate your Test Manager test cases directly from Studio Web. From the Automation tab of a test case in Test Manager, use the Automate in Studio Web option to create or link a Studio Web test case, and start building automations in the browser. This streamlines the testing by enabling end-to-end test creation, automation, and execution in the cloud. For more information on automating tests in Studio Web, refer to Automating test cases in Studio Web.
