Use Master Detail View
You can use the Master Detail View to reference information from the row of a table or a custom list. By doing so, you can achieve the following:
- Select and reference one item from a drop-down.
- Select an item from a list or table and reference columns from that record.
- Bind the selected record data within an expression. Changes to the selected item are reflected on expression-bound controls.
To reference the information from a selected row in a table bound to Orchestrator output, follow the procedure below.
- Open your already existing application or start a new one.
- Add a button control and use it to start the process.
- Create a table with a column called Name.
- Bound the table column to an Orchestrator output by selecting it in the Data Source property. In this example we will pick a source called
Out.out_datatable
. - Create a label and pick Name from the Table.SelectedValue category from the Resources in the Text property.
- Save the app and preview it.
- Press the button to initiate the process.
- Once the table is displayed, select any row from the table. The information from the Name column should now be displayed in the label configured at Step 5.
