Configuring task timer

Automated workflow systems often require manual tracking and follow-up for tasks, which can be inefficient. To avoid this, we have introduced a new feature, to define agreement for task expiry and automate actions based on expiry of that agreement, reducing manual effort and ensuring tasks are completed faster.

Once the task timer expires (15 mins or a maximum duration of 90 days), the configured action (notify or reassign) takes place. You no longer need to manually keep track of expiry times.

Examples

In the Pending tab, you can find your task and its remaining timer: No timer set, Due, Due soon, Overdue. If you hover over the timer status, you can see more details, such as end criteria, single and two timers.

Single timer - Completion due in 20 days, 17 hrs, 32 mins.

Single timer - Assignment due in 17 hrs, 32 mins.

Single timer - Completion overdue 24 mins.

Two timers:
  • Assignment due in 17 hrs, 32 mins.
  • Completion due in 2 days, 13 hrs, 2 mins.
Note:

You can see all the timers when you hover over the timer on that particular task's page. If you hover over the status, in the task list, you can only see the timer that expires first.

Each task has more options to choose from. Select the vertical ellipsis and choose one of the following options:

  • Reassign

  • Unassign

  • Edit labels

  • Edit properties

  • Remove
