Introducing a new Studio release cadence for cloud customers
This release marks the launch of a new Studio release vehicle that aims to deliver continuous updates with a faster release cadence, ideal for supporting a cloud ecosystem.
The new Studio installer is available for users with an Enterprise License and can be downloaded from the Resource Center in UiPath Automation Cloud. You can access the Resource Center by clicking the help button and selecting the Downloads menu option in UiPath Automation Cloud.
- Release cycle - Every two months initially, targeting every two weeks.
- Installer -
UiPathStudioCloud.msi
- Updates - The latest Enterprise Edition MSI installer will be available in the Resource Center in UiPath Automation Cloud after each Enterprise release, ensuring you can always access the latest version.
- Support - Only the latest version is supported.
- Content - The latest version always contains the latest Studio features and fixes.
Benefits of using the latest version of Studio
- Access to the latest updates and innovative features developed by UiPath
- Reduced IT operations time and costs with Robot and Studio deployments
- Reduced risk of breaking existing automations
- Enhanced Robot, Studio Web, and Studio interoperability
- Streamlined access to preview features, which reduces the need to manually opt in
Robot compatibility
Studio stores the minimum Robot version required to run a project, indicated by the Studio version used for editing or publishing a workflow. This ensures that the current project can only be executed by robots of the same version or higher.
Running a process on an older robot version will result in an error message.
Reduced installer size
UiPathStudioCloud.msi
installer does not include any activity packages apart from UiPath.System.Activities. This reduces both the size of the installer and the time to download, install, and update Studio. In new projects, all other activity packages can be installed from the UiPath official online feed.
简化登录体验
Activating Studio is now easier - just sign in to your UiPath account in the installer window.

About the Studio Release Notes Guide and User Guide
- The Studio Release Notes Guide, which you are currently reading, outlines the changes included in each Studio Enterprise release.
- The Studio User Guide provides details on the latest additions to Studio.
These new guides complement our existing Studio documentation and are updated with every release cycle.
StudioX capabilities in Studio
StudioX capabilities are now integrated in Studio, making it easier to design your automations without switching between Studio profiles.
To enhance Excel-driven automations, you can create new Excel resources in Windows projects by using the plus button in the Data Manager and selecting Connect to a new Excel file. Once configured, this file now appears under the Resources section and can be used in the workflow without needing to add a Use Excel File scope.
Additionally, StudioX project templates are now available in the Templates tab, including a blank Task template which can also be accessed from the Start tab. The Project Notebook is available in the Task template and can be used as in StudioX.
StudioX capabilities in Studio are available for everyone using a Studio license. Users with a StudioX license will continue to have the same developer experience in StudioX.
- The organization name and tenant name are now visible when you click the sign in button in the Studio title bar.
Note: This information is not available when connected to an on-premises Orchestrator.
- The Studio tutorial window no longer shows up once closed.
-
In projects without global variables or global constants,
GlobalVariablesNamespace
andGlobalConstantsNamespace
are no longer removed when removing unused imports. - AutopilotTM can now use Object Repository elements from an imported library when generating low-code and coded test cases.
- Sequences and scope activities have an improved design that minimizes indentation and borders in the activity card.
- You can now enable autosaving project files from the new Autosave Design setting. You can also set the interval that project files are automatically saved from the Save interval setting.
- After switching to the StudioX profile, you could not create a new project from a template if the user interface language was set to Korean.
- An argument converted from a variable with no default value set in Studio appeared to have a default value when configuring the process in UiPath Assistant and Orchestrator.
- 在 GitHub CI/CD 管道中发布一些缺少依赖项的项目不会返回验证错误。
- You could not publish libraries to the library tenant feed when enforcing an Automation Ops governance policy that removed the tenant processes feed.
- Compiling some projects containing test cases took longer than expected.
Starting with this Studio release, you can no longer create or edit Windows-Legacy projects. The built-in conversion tool now automatically appears when opening a Windows - Legacy project, enabling you to convert the project to the Windows compatibility.
You can use Studio 2024.10 LTS to continue editing and creating Windows - Legacy projects. For more information, see About the Windows - Legacy compatibility.
