Unattended Robots

UiPath® Robots are the ones executing your automations. Robots, depending on their purpose, can be Attended or Unattended. To execute tests, use only Unattended Robots. This type of robot does not need direct user interaction to start an automation. Unattended Robots usually run on dedicated machines. The users do not need to interrupt their work for triggering a task/process as the Unattended Robot has already been programmed to run based on the configuration set in the Orchestrator.

Testing Robots

Testing Robots are used for running Unattended automations for both development and testing purposes. This includes working with workflows, activities, and various applications. Testing Robots offer options that you can reuse across different projects.

The license enables activity-level unit testing, and allows multiple points of verification. This helps ensure the effectiveness of your automated tasks. It also provides granular reporting of test case results, allowing integration with third-party tools for a comprehensive overview of your testing efforts.

Testing Robots can execute both test cases and RPA processes for non-production environments only.
