August 2026 release notes for UiPath CLI.

• --output-filter now requires an explicit --limit on any command whose --limit has a default. Previously the filter silently applied to the first page only — for most list commands, the first 50 records — which quietly produced wrong answers in scripts. The CLI now refuses with a ValidationError (exit 3) naming the default it would have used. Pass --limit <n> to choose the window, or the command's maximum to filter across everything. Pipelines that filter list output need updating.
• uip codedapp accepts --org-name in place of --org-id, and validates organization and tenant IDs as GUIDs.
• uip is resources describe surfaces the operations catalog and per-field searchability.
• uip agent guardrails list surfaces bring-your-own (BYOG) details.
• uip functions is now uip function, with functions kept as an alias.

• uip solution feeds — list the tenant feed, your Personal Workspace, and folder feeds, to find the name or key that publish --feed and deploy run --feed accept. Registers only on prerelease CLI builds.
• uip solution deploy upgrade — upgrade an existing deployment to a newer package version in place, the CLI equivalent of the Orchestrator UI's Upgrade button. Use it when deploy run is blocked because a deployment already exists. Registers only on prerelease CLI builds.
• uip is typecache — reads the Studio typecache: typecache packages lists the connectors available to a project type, and typecache activities lists a connector's activities for one.

• uip solution publish --package-name and --package-version re-stamp the packed .zip at publish time, for when you hold the package but not the solution source.
• uip maestro debug instance status.
• uip case validate --skeleton-v2, a new validation profile.
• Preflight validators on uip df, aligned with the backend's own rules.
• JavaScript syntax validation in uip maestro flow validate for =js: expressions and script bodies, which also now rejects quoted CEQL field names on connector queries.

This release includes bug fixes across the CLI host, the solution packager, and the bundled tools. None of them change a documented behavior.

• Federated identity login for keyless CI. uip login --client-assertion <jwt> exchanges a workload-identity OIDC token for a UiPath session, so a pipeline no longer needs a stored client secret. Requires --client-id, and accepts env.NAME to read the token from an environment variable.
• uip solution cleanup — removes unused items from every project in a solution. --dry-run reports what would go without touching any project files.
• uip solution projects — the project command group is now projects. project keeps working as a hidden alias, so existing scripts are unaffected.
• uip platform licenses summary — the consolidated organization license summary in one call: robots total and allocated, user-bundle licenses total and used, and consumables total, allocated, and used.
• uip platform tenants folder-outcome-billing get / set — read and change a folder's outcome-billing configuration.
• uip agent guardrails llm-as-judge-models — lists the LLM models available to the LLM-as-judge guardrail. Relatedly, uip agent review now flags an LLM-as-judge guardrail configured with a model that is not available.
• uip tm pack — packs a Playwright test suite into a .nupkg for Test Manager. Studio test automation projects continue to use uip rpa-legacy pack.
• Dropdowns in the connector builder. uip is connectors builder activity field create and activity param create gained reference and lookup flags, covering dropdowns, dependent dropdowns, and server-side type-ahead filtering.
• --nuget-sources-config-path on uip solution pack and uip solution restore, for private or on-premises NuGet feeds.
• uip maestro process variable-tags set accepts flag-based variable tagging.

• uip is activities no longer lists Data Fabric V3 activities, and they are excluded from the Integration Service registry.
• uip maestro bpmn validate now runs the Studio Web canvas rules as part of validation.
