October 2026 release notes for Studio.

October 21, 2026

Build number: 2026.0.204

Live authoring on unattended robots

Previously, a remote debugging connection to an unattended robot started a separate Orchestrator job for every run or debug session, and you indicated UI elements on your own machine. For Unattended Robot connections, the Remote Session Settings window now has a Session Mode option. With Live authoring, the robot keeps one remote session for the whole connection, you indicate and record UI elements on the remote machine, and its screen is streamed in the Remote View panel. Remote run only keeps the previous behavior. For details, refer to Remote Debugging.

Edit solution resources in Studio

You can now open a resource from the Defined Resources panel and edit it in a Studio tab. Double-click the resource, or right-click it and select Open. Your changes are saved as you make them. For details, refer to Solutions.

Organize a solution into folders

You can now group the projects of a solution into folders in the Explorer panel. Right-click the solution or a folder and select Add > Folder.... Projects that you create or import from a folder's context menu are added to that folder. For details, refer to Solutions.

Typo-tolerant search for packages and templates

Previously, searching the Official feed, the templates feed, or a local folder feed found a package only if its ID or title contained the text exactly as you typed it. The Manage Packages window and the Templates tab now match each word you type separately, in any order, and tolerate typos. A package whose ID starts with the text you type is listed first. For example, UiPath.System lists UiPath.System.Activities at the top. Orchestrator feeds and nuget.org keep their own search. For details, refer to Managing Activities Packages.

End rows in Compact Mode

Previously, child activities in a container were linked by curved connectors. In Compact Mode, each container activity now ends with an End row named after the activity, such as End If or End Sequence, and the connectors are gone. For details, refer to The User Interface.

Mejoras

  • The If activity card has a Hide Else button that hides an empty Else branch. Select Show Else to bring it back. For details, refer to The If Activity.
  • Configure Remote Debugging in the Debug ribbon is renamed to Configure Remote Session, matching the Remote Session Settings window it opens.
  • Publish Project in the Explorer panel publishes one project of a solution on its own. It is available for processes and for projects other than RPA projects, such as Maestro and agent projects. The project is packed without the rest of the solution or its resources. Previously, only the active RPA project could be published on its own. For details, refer to About Publishing Automation Projects.
  • Studio starts and opens workflows faster.

Corrección de errores

  • In the Workflow Analyzer settings, coded workflow rules showed Missing translation as their scope.
  • In the Project panel, Paste stayed disabled after you copied a workflow, so you couldn't copy workflows within a project.
  • The Publish window didn't list the Orchestrator tenant feeds, such as Orchestrator Tenant Libraries Feed, when you had no Orchestrator folder.
  • In solution projects, the resource picker listed only the first 100 assets, and its search didn't find the assets that weren't listed.
  • Adding a trigger to a workflow that already had a trigger didn't add the new trigger's arguments. Studio also adds missing trigger arguments when you open the workflow.
  • Cloning or pushing over HTTPS to a GitHub Enterprise Managed Users organization failed before Studio asked for your credentials.

Build number: 2026.0.203

Choose the .NET version of a project

Previously, every Windows and cross-platform project was built for .NET 8. Studio now runs on .NET 10, and a new Minimum Robot version setting controls which .NET version each project is built for:

  • 22.4 - .NET 6
  • 24.10 - .NET 8, the default for new projects
  • 26.10 - .NET 10

You can find the setting in the new project window, under Show advanced options, and in the Project Settings window. The setting isn't available for Windows - Legacy projects.

Existing projects keep their current version until you change it. Changing the version reloads the project, and Robots older than the selected version can't run the published package. For details, refer to Setting the Minimum Robot Version.

Faster switching between solution projects

Switching to another project in a solution caused the project to reload every time. Studio now keeps up to three projects loaded, so switching between them does not cause a reload. Your changes are saved when you switch away from a project.

You can control this feature from the new Fast solution project switching setting under Settings > Design > Save and Publish. The setting is on by default. For details, refer to Configuring Studio Settings.

Maestro Automate projects in solutions

You can now add Maestro Automate projects to your solution, in addition to Maestro Flow projects. Maestro Flow orchestrates a business process across agents, humans, and systems, while Maestro Automate brings AI agents and APIs together in a single workflow. Both are available from the Add to Solution menu in the Explorer panel.

You can also right-click a Maestro project and select Convert to Maestro Automate or Convert to Maestro Flow to change between project types. For details, refer to Solutions.

Mejoras

  • When you open a project or a solution that has a README file at its root, Studio opens the README, unless it restored your previously opened tabs. To turn this off, use the Open README file toggle under Settings > Design > Save and Publish.
  • With Compact Design Experience enabled, activity cards are wider, so more of each activity's details fit on the card.
  • The Else branch of an If activity starts collapsed when you add the activity.

Corrección de errores

  • The Arguments section of the Data Manager panel stopped refreshing after you switched to another workflow.
  • Run and Debug could fail with Cannot find or create LiteDb database because Studio cleaned up a references database that another running client was still using.
  • Argument default values set to an expression were ignored when Studio read a workflow's arguments.
  • Command-line tools running in the Terminal panel, such as Claude Code, could choose prompt colors that were hard to read in the panel's theme. Terminal sessions now report whether the theme is light or dark.
  • When an activity's type argument changed, for example when Extract Document Data switched back to DictionaryData, the variables bound to its outputs kept their old type and reported an error.
  • In a solution, the visual diff of a .xaml file opened from the Source Control panel didn't open unless the file's project was the active one.

Studio en macOS (vista previa)

Studio is now available in Public Preview on Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. You can now design, run, and debug cross-platform automations on your Mac, and publish them to Orchestrator.

Install Studio with the UiPath Platform Installer for macOS, which also installs UiPath Assistant. For requirements, keyboard shortcuts, and known limitations, refer to Studio on macOS.
