Document Understanding Release Notes
2023.4.0
Stay up to date with all the latest news regarding Document Manager by going through the next list of changes that have occurred since the last LTS release until now.
A new option is now available under the Dataset Diagnostic menu, the Calculator Tab. Use the Calculator Tab to gain an understanding about the required dataset size that enables you to obtain the best accuracy for your trained model. You can update any of the following fields: Out-of-the-box document type, Number of languages, or Number of layouts. Changes done on the Calculator Tab are influencing the size and accuracy of the entire Dataset, meaning that more labelled training data may be required.
The Search options available inside a Document Manager session have been redesigned to improve accessibility.
We have increased the Exported data accuracy by changing the requirement that data be labelled in 10 places (that could have been on the same page) to 10 different pages.
We have updated all existing scheduled exports with a recurrence below seven days and they now reflect the new minimum recurrence of seven days.
If you create or configure a regular field of type date, you can now choose the date format: Auto, US style, or Non-US style, Auto being the default value. This feature applies to ML Packages version 22.10.2, or higher.
We now have a faster loading time and improved browsing experience for long documents (over 10 pages).
When labelling multi-valued fields, the list of field values now expands automatically. The default value of the ApplyOCROnPDF option is now set to Auto when creating a new project. This means we try to scrape the text from PDF if we can. If in some cases this does not produce the expected results, please switch this setting to Yes.
A classification field can now be marked as hidden in a Document Manager session. Note that if you mark a classification field as hidden, then it is not included in the export file, nor in the Dataset Diagnostics Fields tab.
AI Units, the new licensing approach for all AI products, is now visible for Document Understanding.
Improvements have been made to the import size limitations. We removed the import page limitation for Document Manager type imports but there is a size limitation of 4000 MiB per import.
If you create or configure a regular field of type date, you can now choose the date format: Auto, US style, or Non-US style, Auto being the default value.
The / key cannot be set as a hotkey for table shortcuts because it is already in use as an action key. The Enter or the / key can be used for grouping table rows that span across multiple lines of text.
The Enable large documents checkbox has been removed from the Document Manager Import data dialog box. Large documents can be imported by default.
Fixed an error occuring when you tried to connect to the Document Manager database if the server password started with a { symbol.
When you first access a Document Manager session in an AI Center Standalone offline environment, you are redirected to a service not yet enabled on the environment. The same thing can occur when a session expires in an Automation Suite offline environment. We recommend closing the session and reopening it again.
