Sending SDDs to Automation Hub

Publish an approved SDD and its companion PDD from Cartographer straight to UiPath Automation Hub, and review the result there.

Once the SDD is generated and approved, you can publish it straight from the Cartographer conversation to UiPath Automation Hub, then open the process record to review the document and act on it. Publishing sends both the SDD and the PDD and creates the corresponding Automation Hub record for the process, recording the originating Cartographer business process on it.

Before you start

• You need an existing Automation Hub instance in your tenant. Confirm you can reach Automation Hub outside Cartographer, in the same tenant you intend to upload to, before publishing.
• The upload uses your current organization and tenant — the ones you're logged into inside Cartographer. Make sure they're the ones you want the documents to land in.
• Publishing uses the uipath-automationhub skill, also published in UiPath's skills repository; Cartographer picks up the latest version automatically.

Workflow

Publishing to Automation Hub

In the review session, select the Publish this SDD to Automation Hub suggested prompt, or type "Publish this SDD to Automation Hub."

Cartographer uploads the documents and creates a new idea in Automation Hub for the process, recording the originating Cartographer business process on it. Both the SDD and the PDD are uploaded to that idea. The chat confirms with the SDD and PDD published under a process ID.

Opening the Automation Hub process record

Select Open the Automation Hub process record, or select the hyperlinked process title in the chat reply. Your browser opens the Automation Hub automation profile for that process, at a URL under /automation-profile/…, showing the process header and a status banner.

Switching to the Documentation tab

In the automation profile header menu, select the Documentation tab — it shows a badge count, for example Documentation (2). The Automation Files grid loads with a card for each generated document: SDD – [Process Name] (Solution Design Document) and PDD – [Process Name] (Process Definition Document).

Previewing the SDD in-browser

Select the SDD card to open the native in-browser previewer. You can inspect the Document History, Planner Handoff values, and Decisions Made; SME Review action items and Case metadata; and the visual case exit conditions and triggers. The reader renders the document's Markdown and tables in full inside Automation Hub. Select Close (the X, or the button at the bottom) to return to the grid.

Actions available in Automation Hub

Once the SDD card is visible in the Documentation tab, you have these actions.

Card-level actions — hover the card, or select the ⋯ More options icon at the top-right of the card:

Preview (eye icon, or select the card)	Open the inline viewer to read the SDD without downloading it
Update (pencil icon)	Re-upload or update the file from local storage
Delete (trash icon)	Remove the document attachment from the Automation Hub record
Download (hover action button)	Download the document (for example, the .md / text package) to your local downloads folder

Tab-level page actions — top-right of the Automation Files area:

Add File	Manually attach supplemental material (architecture diagrams, sample datasets, supporting specifications) to the process profile
