SAP Build Process Automation, Foundation add-on by UiPath release notes
December 8, 2025
Communications Mining and IXP now available in the SAP Build Process Automation, add-on by UiPath
Erratum - added December 16, 2025: Included information on Communications Mining and IXP integration
The inclusion of the UiPath Communications Mining and IXP into the add-on enables broader automation and data-processing capabilities across your SAP Build Process Automation workflows.
Communications Mining uses advanced natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) to transform unstructured messages into structured, actionable data. This capability enhances insights, automation opportunities, and scalability by guiding you through data connection, model training and validation, and offering strong integration options that deliver measurable value for users and enterprises.
For more information, check the Communications Mining user guide.
IXP (Intelligent Xtraction and Processing) is a multimodal data extraction capability designed to convert information from unstructured documents and communications into structured data ready for automation and analytics. This empowers users to streamline document-heavy or communication-heavy processes with increased accuracy and efficiency.
For more information, check the IXP user guide.
Extended role mapping for additional services
We expanded the existing group and role mappings for the default groups to support additional services.
For more information, check the Roles and access section.
Integrating Document Understanding in SAP Build Process Automation
You can now easily leverage Document Understanding capabilities in your SAP Build Process Automation projects.
Additionally, the Extract Document Data configuration generates a Studio Web workflow as part of the SAP Build Process Automation process. This workflow comes with pre-configured activities, helping you efficiently extract data from your documents. The workflow also allows you to pass as input a file that was previously processed as part of the same SAP Build Process Automation process.
Integrations Monitoring
To support reliable log transfer from UiPath to SAP, a new ALM Endpoints tab is available for SAP-specific tenants in the Automation Cloud™ tenant settings page. To ensure a stable connection, make sure to configure all required parameters in this section.
For more information, check the Configuring the connection page.
UiPath Apps integration
You can now easily integrate UiPath Apps with SAP Build Process Automation to leverage task automations by triggering processes directly from your applications.
For more information on how to use UiPath Apps in your workflow, check the Invoke SAP Build Process Automation processes via UiPath Apps page.
UiPath Connection Triggers
Integrating SAP Build Process Automation with UiPath Integration Service simplifies automation by providing standardized access to third-party applications.
The UiPath Connection Trigger offers a powerful way to subscribe to specific events from third-party applications via connectors. These connectors allow you to initiate automations based on events in connected systems using triggers.
This first release contains three connectors:
- Gmail
- Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint
- Microsoft Outlook365
For more information on how to use this integration, check the Using the UiPath Connector Trigger page.
Queue triggers integration
As a SAP Build user, you can automate processes to start when items arrive in a UiPath Orchestrator queue.
This integration reduces manual steps, ensures accurate processing, and accelerates resolution.
Common scenarios include:
- When expense reports arrive in the finance_approval queue, SAP initiates the approval routing process.
- When stock falls below threshold, an external monitor pushes a reorder request into the queue, and SAP launches the purchase_order creation process.
- When a new customer support ticket is added to the service_desk queue, SAP starts a case_creation workflow.
For more information on how to use this integration, check the Integrating queue triggers page.
