Delegate enters Public Preview

Delegate is now available in Public Preview. Delegate is UiPath's general-purpose desktop AI agent: describe, say, or demonstrate a task, and Delegate acts across your desktop and business systems to complete it, under the same identity, permissions, and audit controls as the rest of the UiPath Platform. For more information, see the Delegate user guide.

Highlights in this preview:

• Natural language, voice, and screen-recording task input, with a conversational chat interface.
• Native computer use across desktop apps, browsers, files, and terminals.
• Routines — save a task as a reusable, shareable unit of work that can run on demand, on a trigger, or on a schedule.
• Enterprise governance through the UiPath Platform, including approval modes and tool-level permissions enforceable centrally via Automation Ops, and the benefit of the platform's existing identity, permissions, and audit controls — see Governance with Automation Ops.
• Integration with UiPath Orchestrator, Test Manager, Context Grounding, and Studio.
• Connectivity to outside systems through Integration Service connectors and MCP servers.

Delegate for Testing

Delegate for Testing is a specialization of Delegate — UiPath's general-purpose desktop AI agent — focused on the QA/Testing persona. It connects to UiPath Test Manager natively via uip CLI and executes test-related tasks autonomously from a single natural language prompt.

Goal

Delegate for Testing aims to take the mental load off testers, not by replacing hands-on testing, but by automating the coordination, communication, and analysis that surrounds it.

The QA/Testing persona is a role-specific experience built on top of the general Delegate agent, featuring:

• A tailored home screen with testing-specific prompts by default.
• Pre-installed testing-specific skills (Test Cloud plugin).
• Access gated via Test Cloud licenses: the AppTestDeveloper license or the AppTesters license.

• Single natural language prompt to execute complex test workflows, without scripting or tool-switching.
• Automated test report generation for QA Engineers, Release Managers, and Developers, ready to share in minutes.
• Autonomous manual test execution, running a plain-English manual test case from Test Manager end-to-end without scripting.
• Reduce repetitive coordination work, by handing the following to Delegate's agentic capabilities: report generation, test execution status tracking, and stakeholder communication.
• Direct Test Manager integration, with data flowing to and from Test Manager via the uip CLI. No manual data export is required.

Capabilities (via the Test Cloud plugin)

For the current release, the Test Cloud plugin ships with 1 skill, uipath-testcloud, built around 3 main capabilities.

• Link automations to test cases links an existing Orchestrator automation to a Test Manager test case.

• Generate test reports generates persona-tailored, shareable reports from Test Manager execution data.

• Execute manual tests autonomously executes a manual test case on the desktop, records per-step execution traces, and publishes results back to Test Manager.
