# Installation

> Install Delegate through the shared Studio, Assistant, and Robot installer, and set up your UiPath account to get started.

Delegate installs through the same package that installs UiPath Assistant and the UiPath Robot, and it appears as a component you select during that install.

You can currently install Delegate on Windows only, through **UiPathPlatformSTS.msi**. macOS support is not yet available.
:::

## Prerequisites

- A UiPath account in your organization's tenant.
- A machine that meets the [hardware and software requirements](https://docs.uipath.com/assistant/standalone/latest/user-guide/hardware-and-software-requirements).
- Internet connection

## Downloading the installer

Download the installer package from either the Customer Portal or Automation Cloud:

### From the Customer Portal

1. Go to the [Customer Portal website](https://customerportal.uipath.com/product-downloads).
2. Search for **UiPath Robot & Assistant Latest STS (Continuous Release)** and select the collapse icon on the right.
3. Download the installer.

### From Automation Cloud

1. Go to the Automation Cloud website.
2. Select the Help icon at the top of the page, and select **Downloads** from the dropdown menu.
3. In the **Featured Download** section, choose **Studio, Assistant and Robot STS**.

## Installing Delegate

1. Run the installer.
2. Select **Robot** from the list of components.
3. Select **Extensions** as well — recommended, since several Delegate capabilities rely on it.

4. Accept the terms in the License Agreement.
5. Optionally, use **Advanced configuration** to customize the install.
6. Select **Install**, and wait for the installation to complete.

## Connecting your organization

This is how you connect to your organization, whether for the first time or to switch to a different one later:

1. **Sign in to your organization** with your UiPath account.
2. **Select your tenant**. If you have access to multiple tenants, choose the one you want to use.
3. **Check your connection status**. Once you are connected and licensed, a green status light appears in the title bar next to your initials.
4. **Switch to Delegate or Cartographer**. The title bar shows a switcher next to the UiPath logo — Assistant, Delegate, and Cartographer — so you can move between them.
