Test Manager Connect offered by Planview® allows seamless integration between Test Manager and a multitude of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, through the Planview® Hub. Here are some benefits of using Test Manager Connect in Planview® Hub:

* Synchronize testing artifacts between Test Manager and your desired ALM tool.
* Updates made in Test Manager reflect in the tool you synchronized with.
* Keep traceability of tests and requirements across various systems. For more information, visit the [Test Manager Connect guide](https://success.planview.com/Planview_Hub/Connector_Documentation/UiPath_Test_Manager) from the Planview Hub documentation.
 :::note
 (Note for Public Sector only) Test Manager is designed to meet the requirements of the Public Sector. If you opt to integrate an instance of Planview Hub, make sure that this ALM environment aligns with the necessary security and Public Sector compliance standards.
 :::

## Licensing

Test Manager Connect licenses, provided by Planview, come bundled with your platform plan.

:::note
Feature availability depends on the cloud platform you use. For details, refer to the [Test Manager feature availability page](https://docs.uipath.com/test-manager/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/test-manager-feature-availability-page).
:::

For more information on Unified Pricing licensing, refer to [Unified Pricing: Licensing Test Manager](https://docs.uipath.com/test-manager/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/licensing-test-manager).

For more information on Flex licensing, refer to [Flex: Licensing Test Manager](https://docs.uipath.com/test-manager/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/flex-licensing-test-manager).

To use the cloud version of UiPath Test Manager Connect you need to request a cloud instance from the UiPath® sales team.

## Integrated ALM tools and Synchronization matrix

This table provides an overview of the most common integrations between Test Manager and various ALM tools through Planview Hub. Each integration has its corresponding synchronization matrix, outlining the specific synchronization capabilities for each type of testing object.

:::important
The following synchronization matrix merely provides an overview. The final scope of an integration is documented in detail within the Planview documentation. Visit the [UiPath Customer Portal](https://success.planview.com/Planview_Partner_Portal/Planview_Hub_OEM_Portals/UiPath/UiPath_Customer_Portal) from the Planview website, and navigate to the **Product Documentation** section for more information.
:::

Defect creation in Test Manager is intentionally designed to be unidirectional. However, for existing artifacts, there is limited support available for bi-directional synchronization.

### Legend
* **<->** - The synchronization is bidirectional.
* **->** - The synchronization is outbound, from Test Manager to the ALM tool.
* ![docs image](https://dev-assets.cms.uipath.com/assets/images/test-manager/test-manager-docs-image-359336-fc534b39-bffcc206.webp) - Synchronization not supported.

## Installers

If you want to use the on-premises version of Test Manager Connect alongside cloud Test Manager, you can use the download links below.

Visit [Customer Portal](https://customerportal.uipath.com/product-downloads) to download the Test Manager Connect installer.

## Prerequisites

Before using UiPath® Test Manager Connect in Planview Hub, you need to make the following configuration settings:

* Create a new user account within your external tool, that should be used only for the integration with Tasktop Hub. Offer the needed permissions to artifacts inside your repository, such as **Create**, **Read**, **Update**, **Delete** (CRUD) permissions, or other permissions.
* [Add an external application](https://docs.uipath.com/automation-cloud/automation-cloud/latest/admin-guide/managing-external-applications#adding-an-external-application) inside your UiPath® Admin portal. The generated **Client ID** and **Client Secret** are used for connecting your Test Manager instance to Planview Hub.
* Enable the following Application scopes in Test Manager, according to your use case:

| Scope | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **TM.Projects.Read** | Projects read access |
| **TM.Requirements** | Requirements read and write access |
| **TM.ObjectLabels** | ObjectLabels read and write access |
| **TM.Attachments** | Attachments read and write access |
| **TM.Users.Read** | Users read access in Test Manager |
| **TM.TestCases** | TestCases read and write access |
| **TM.TestExecutions** | TestExecutions read and write access |
| **TM.CustomFieldDefinitions.Read** | CustomFieldDefinitions read access |
| **TM.CustomFieldValues** | CustomFieldValues read and write access |
| **TM.TestSets** | TestSets read and write access |
| **TM.Defects** | Defects read and write access |

Follow the steps under the **Connector Setup Details** section.

## Robot logs

You can download robot logs as a file using APIs, which you can then sync as an attachment to a work item in your ALM tool.
