# Statically adding test cases to test set

> Manually select and assign specific test cases from a project to a test set using static assignment.

Build a fixed list of test cases in a test set by choosing Static Assignment in the Add Test Cases window. Search the project's test cases by name, key, or label.

## Steps

1. Select the test set you want to add test cases to.
2. In the **Tasks** menu, select **Add Test Cases**.

   The **Add Test Cases** window is displayed.
3. Select **Static Assignment**.
4. Select the test cases you want to add. You can search for test cases by entering the name, the key, or a label.

5. Select **Assign**.

## Result

The selected test cases are assigned to the test set and are displayed on the **Test Cases** tab.
