# Generating tests for requirements

> Generate test cases from a requirement or for SAP transactions using Autopilot.

Use Autopilot to generate a list of potential test cases.

## Context

You can use two types of test case generation:

* **Generate tests from requirement**: You can generate test cases from the requirement details, followed by uploaded documents, and additional instructions. Open a requirement, select **Assign test case**, and then select **Generate test cases**.
* **Generate tests for SAP transactions**: You can generate test cases for SAP transactions from Heatmap and gaps discovered in Change impact analysis, using uploaded documents and additional instructions.

Refine the generation process with documents and instructions for Autopilot to use in generating the test cases.

After you select **Generate tests**, Autopilot returns suggested test cases. A human must review them and choose which ones to create, or refine them with more details. For a second reviewer, enable [Testing Process Governance](https://docs.uipath.com/test-manager/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/testing-process-governance) for the project, which requires test cases to be signed off.

## Steps

1. Generate the tests as described in [Generate tests for requirements: Best practices](https://docs.uipath.com/autopilot/other/latest/user-guide/autopilot-for-testers-best-practices#manual-test-generation).

## Result

The test cases are generated and available for review.
