# Enforcing object synchronization between Jira and Test Manager

> Force immediate synchronization of a Jira object to Test Manager when objects are out of sync or after setting up a new Jira connection.

Push a single Jira object to Test Manager immediately, when an object is out of sync or a new connection needs its existing objects.

## Context

Objects are synchronized from Jira to Test Manager under the following circumstances:

* An object is created in Jira and Jira is configured to synchronize this type of object.
* An object is updated in Jira and Jira is configured to synchronize this type of object.
  :::note
  If an object is updated in Jira which does not exist in Test Manager, a new requirement is created in Test Manager. If an object is deleted in Jira, the synchronized object in Test Manager remains. Test Manager does not propagate deletions across systems.
  :::

For a particular object, synchronization can be enforced immediately. This can be helpful under the following circumstances:

* Objects are out-of-sync for any reason - for example, Test Manager was not available while the Jira object was updated.
* A new Jira connection has been set up in Test Manager and objects which already existed in Jira need to be synced.

:::note
Test Manager does not perform a sync-all operation after a Jira connection has been set up.
:::

## Prerequisites

* The **UiPath® Test Manager for Jira** app is installed on your Jira instance from the Atlassian marketplace.

## Steps

1. Open the object in Jira.
2. Select **Push to Test Manager** from the **More** menu.

## Result

The selected Jira object is immediately synchronized to Test Manager as a requirement. The requirement is visible in the **Requirements** section of the connected Test Manager project.
