# Disabling governance at test-case level

> If you want to disable governance for an object, you can do so at any time. When you disable governance at object level, the **Governance** tab becomes disabled.

To enable testing process governance, you must hold the **Test Manager Administrator** role, the **Test Governance Administrator** role, the **Project Owner** role or be assigned the **Test Process Governance** permission.

1. Go to **Test Cases**.
2. Open a test case.
3. In the upper, left-hand side corner of the object, toggle off the **Governed** option. The **Governance** tab is disabled. You can re-enable governance on an object and resume the governance process.
