# Cloning prompts

> Clone an existing prompt and adjust its fields to create a new prompt without starting from scratch.

Clone a prompt to reuse it as the starting point of a new prompt.

## Prerequisites

* Your Test Manager role has the **Autopilot Prompt** permission that lets you create prompts. For the permissions, see [Viewing the prompt library](https://docs.uipath.com/test-manager/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/viewing-and-using-the-prompt-library).

## Steps

1. For the desired prompt, select **More Options**.
2. Select **Clone**.
3. (Optional) Update any of the prompt fields, such as **Name**, **Description**, **Mode of use**, or **Prompt**.
4. Select **Create** to apply your changes.

## Result

A new prompt is created as a clone of the original prompt, including any changes you made to its fields.
