# Action editor

> The **Action Editor** enables you to easily edit the images collected by Task Mining to add the necessary context for authoring an automation.

The **Action Editor** enables you to easily edit the images collected by Task Mining to add the necessary context for authoring an automation.

With the **Action editor** you can:

* zoom in / zoom out, to have a more detailed view of the image.
* edit the image inline by adding different shapes.
  + Draw a rectangle or an ellipse to highlight a part of the image;
  + Add text, to add notes or annotations;
  + Blur part of the image to hide sensitive or confidential information.

## Adding a rectangle or ellipse

Follow these steps to add a rectangle, a rounded rectangle, or an ellipse to an image.

1. Select the **Rectangle** option from the menu.
2. Select the desired type of rectangle from the list.

3. Drag the rectangle in the image as desired.

4. Customize the rectangle using the options in the **Rectangle** menu.
5. Select **Save**.

Below is a description of the available menu options for a rectangle.

| **Option** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Fill color | Enables you to choose the background color of the rectangle. |
| Outline color | Enables you to choose the outline color of the rectangle. |
| Outline width | Enables you to choose the width of the frame of the rectangle. |
| Bring to front | Brings the selected rectangle to the front. |
| Move to back | Moves the selected rectangle to the back. |

## Adding text

Follow these steps to add a text to an image.

1. Select the **Text** option from the menu.

2. Select the image at the position where you want to add the text to create a text box.
3. Enter the text as desired.
4. Format the text and customize the text box using the options in the **Text box** menu.
5. Select **Save**.

Below is a description of the available menu options for a text box.

| --- | --- |
| Font size | Enables you to choose the font size of the text. |
| Bold | Enables you to format the text as bold. |
| Underline | Enables you to underline the text. |
| Text color | Enables you to choose the color of the text. |
| Fill color | Enables you to choose the background color of the text box. |
| Outline color | Enables you to choose the color of the frame of the text box. |
| Outline width | Enables you to choose the width of frame of the text box. |
| Bring to front | Brings the selected text box to the front. |
| Move to back | Moves the selected text box to the back. |

## Blurring

Follow these steps to blur a part of an image.

1. Select the **Blur** option from the menu.

2. Click on the image at the position where you want to add the blur.
3. Drag the blur in the image as desired.

4. Select **Save**.

## Moving a shape

Follow these steps to move a rectangle, a text box, or a blur.

1. Select the shape you want to move.
2. Drag the shape to a different position.
