# Documents

> Add and manage documents attached to test cases, requirements, and test sets in Test Manager to provide contextual supporting files.

Provide contextual information to your test cases, requirement, and test sets, by adding any file type as a document. For example, if your test refers to different documentation formats, such as spreadsheets, scanned documents, diagrams, images, you can attach them in the **Documentation** tab.

## Supported Object Types

* Requirements
* Test Cases
* Test Sets

## Uploading Conditions

* Upload files only to the **Documents** tab of the following artefacts: requirements, test case, test set.
* Any file type is permitted.
* File size limit is 100MB.
* Upload files one at a time.
* Upload as many files as you want.
* Your files are not synchronized with integrated external tools, such as Jira.

## Uploading Files

Attach a file to a requirement, test case, or test set to provide supporting documentation, such as specifications, diagrams, or screenshots.

1. Open your project in Test Manager.
2. Navigate to one of the following artefacts:
   * **Requirements**
   * **Test Case**
   * **Test Set**
3. Select an artefact key in the list to open it.
4. Go to the **Documents** tab.
5. Select the **Add document** button and choose a file or drag & drop it directly in the page. The file is added to your test.

## Managing Files

### Download a document

Download the attached file to your machine.

1. Open your project in Test Manager.
2. Navigate to your artefact (**Requirement**, **Test Case**, **Test Set**).
3. Select an entry in the list to open it.
4. Go to the **Documents** tab.
5. Select a file and select **Download**. The file is downloaded to your Downloads folder.

### Rename a document

Rename the attached file.

1. Open your project in Test Manager.
2. Navigate to your artefact (**Requirement**, **Test Case**, **Test Set**).
3. Select an entry in the list to open it.
4. Go to the **Documents** tab.
5. Select a file and select **Rename**.
6. Enter a new name and select **Ok** to confirm changes.

### Delete a document

Delete the attached file.

1. Open your project in Test Manager.
2. Navigate to your artefact (**Requirement**, **Test Case**, **Test Set**).
3. Select an entry in the list to open it.
4. Go to the **Documents** tab.
5. Select a file and select **Delete**.
6. Select **Ok** to confirm changes.

## Result

The file operation completes. Uploaded files appear in the **Documents** tab. Downloaded files are saved to your Downloads folder. Renamed files display the new name in the tab. Deleted files are permanently removed.
