# Adding custom prompts

> Add a custom prompt to the prompt library with a name, description, mode of use, and instructions for Autopilot.

Create a reusable prompt under Project Settings > Prompt library, choosing whether it drives test creation from requirements, test creation from SAP transactions, or requirement quality evaluation. Your role needs the Autopilot Prompt permission set to Create.

## Context

For details, see the best practices for the available AI-powered capabilities:

* [Generate tests for requirements](https://docs.uipath.com/autopilot/other/latest/user-guide/autopilot-for-testers-best-practices#manual-test-generation)
* [Quality-check requirements](https://docs.uipath.com/autopilot/other/latest/user-guide/autopilot-for-testers-best-practices#requirement-evaluation)

## Prerequisites

* Your Test Manager role has the **Autopilot Prompt** permission set to **Create**.

## Steps

1. Navigate to **Project Settings**, and then to **Prompt library**.
2. Select **Add prompt** and start configuring the prompt:
   1. **Name**: Enter the name of the prompt.
   2. **Description**: Enter a description of what the prompt does.
   3. **Mode of use**: Select the AI capability that the prompt is designed for:
      1. **Create tests from requirement**
      2. **Create tests from SAP transaction**
      3. **Evaluate requirement quality**
   4. **Prompt**: Enter the instructions that Autopilot should follow.
3. Select **Create** to confirm changes.

## Result

The custom prompt is created in the prompt library. Custom prompts are available for selection when using Autopilot for test generation, quality checks, or other AI-powered capabilities.
