# Delegating a task

> Request input from a teammate on a Cartographer project and review their reply before accepting it into the project.

**Cartographer** works with one primary user who drives the documentation and redesign process forward. That user can request assistance from other users in the organization, as long as they also have access to **Delegate**.

## Prerequisites

* You have a **Cartographer** project already in progress.
* The teammate you want to involve has access to **Delegate** and belongs to the same UiPath organization and tenant as you.

## Requesting input from a teammate

1. Select **Delegate Task**.
2. State your request to the other user.
3. Review the contextual information **Delegate** adds to your request.
4. Edit the contextual information freely before sending, if needed.
5. Share the link **Delegate** creates with the target user through any channel, such as Slack, Teams, or email.
6. Wait for the target user to select the link. This opens **Delegate** on their machine and presents your question.
7. Review their reply in your original chat, in the context of the project.
8. Accept the reply into the project knowledge, or reject it.

**Result:** Accepted replies become part of the project's knowledge and inform the current phase of documentation. Rejected replies are discarded and do not affect the map.

:::note
The target user must be a member of the same UiPath organization and tenant as you, and is asked to sign in to that tenant before they can view your question.
