# Completing the translations

> To complete the translations, you can edit the generated files and add the translations yourself or you can download the files and send them to a third party for translation.

## Edit the translation files

To complete the translations, you can edit the generated files and add the translations yourself or you can download the files and send them to a third party for translation.

Follow these steps to edit the translation files.

| Step | Action |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | Go to the **Superadmin Workspaces** tab of your **UiPath Process Mining** developer environment. |
| 2 | Right click on the generated `.json` file and select **Edit…**. |
| 3 | Add the translated text to the strings in the file. |
| 4 | When finished, click on **OK** to save the translations. |
| 5 | Click on the menu icon and select **Commit**. |

## Download the translation files for third party translation

Follow these steps to download the translation files.

| Step | Action |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | Go to the **Superadmin Workspaces** tab of your **UiPath Process Mining** developer environment. |
| 2 | Right click on the generated `.json` file and select **Download file**. |

The downloaded files can be sent for translation. After receiving the files back, you must upload them to your workspace.

Follow these steps to upload the translated files.

| Step | Action |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | Go to the **Superadmin Workspaces** tab of your UiPath Process Mining developer environment. |
| 2 | Click on the menu icon and select **Upload file…**. |
| 3 | Browse your computer to locate the file that includes the translation and click on **OK**. |
| 4 | Click on **OVERWRITE** to confirm that the old file must be overwritten with the new file. |
| 5 | Press **F5** to reload your workspace.  You can edit the uploaded file from the workspace to check if it is uploaded correctly. |
| 6 | Click on the menu icon and select **Commit**. |

## Selecting the preferred language

The locales set in your application settings determine the default language for end-users. End-users can select the preferred language of the app in the bottom left corner below the **Favorites**. See illustration below for an example.
