AppOne に属性を追加する

はじめに

When your dataset contains attributes that are not present in AppOne by default, you may want to customize AppOne to add these additional attributes.

You can use these attributes inside the attribute selectors of AppOne, or you can add them to the list of available End-user filters. This guide describes the steps to customize AppOne.

Getting the new attributes into AppOne

📘

You will not get a notification if you open AppOne with a dataset that contains attributes that are not already present in AppOne. This means that you must check manually for new attributes.

Follow these steps to check if your dataset contains attributes that are not defined in AppOne.

StepAction
1Open AppOne in your development environment with the dataset that contains the new attributes.
2Go to the Data tab.
3Double-click on the table that contains the new attributes.
4Click on OK in the Edit Connection String Table dialog.
5The following message is displayed.
image
Click on NO.
6A message is displayed when the new attributes are detected. See illustration below for an example.
image
Click on YES to add the new attributes to AppOne.

The new attributes are added at the bottom of the table item list. Note that the availability of the new attributes is set to Private. See illustration below for an example.

597

These new attributes can now be used in multiple ways inside AppOne. For example in you can add them to the selectors in AppOne to slice your data based on them, or you can use the attributes for filtering if you add them to the End-user filters.

📘

Make sure to set the availability of the attributes you want to use in AppOne to Public.

To change the availability of a table item, right click on it and select Availability from the context menu. See illustration below.

Adding attributes to selectors in AppOne

New attributes can be added to the attribute selectors in AppOne. This can be either in the initial attribute list that opens when a user clicks on an attribute selector, or to the list of attributes that is displayed when the user selects the More… option. See illustration below.

717

Adding the attributes to the list of attributes in the attribute selector

If you want to add the attributes to the initial list of attributes in the attribute selector you must add the attribute to the Case attributes (main) selector in the Cases_base table or to the Events attributes (main) selector in the Events_base table, depending on where you want the attribute to be used.

718

Follow these steps to add the attributes to the attribute selector.

StepAction
1Go to the Data tab and click on the Cases_base or Events_base table in the Connector tables folder.
3Double click on Case attributes (main) selector to open the Edit Control dialog.
4Right click on the Selector items panel and select Add…. See illustration below.
5Select the datasource attributes you want to add to the selector and click on OK (2x). See illustration below.
1272

Adding the attributes to the More... list of attributes in the attribute selector

If you want to add the attributes to the More... list of attributes in the attribute selector you must add the attribute to the Case attributes (more) selector in the Cases_base table or to the Events attributes (more) selector in the Events_base table, depending on where you want the attribute to be used.

📘

Make sure you add the attributes by selecting them in the Selector items panel, instead of the "More..." items panel.

Adding attributes to the End-user filters

You can also add the new attributes to the list of End-user filters that are available to end users from the Filters panel. To do this, you must add the new attributes to the End-user attributes of the table they are in.

Follow these steps to make the attributes available as End-user filter.

StepAction
1Go to the Data tab and right click on the Cases or Events table in the View tables folder.
3Select End-user attributes from the context menu.
4Select the new attributes you want to add to the end user filters. See illustration below.
5Click on OK (2x).
851

Generic attributes

If you want to add attributes to the More... option in an attribute selector or to the list of End-user filters, you can also use one of the Generic attributes that are available in the Generic folder of the Cases_base and Events_base table.

1177

These Generic attributes are displayed by default in the More... option of an attribute selector and as End-user filter.
