Test Sets

Overview

A Test Set represents a grouping of any number of individual Test Cases, each meant to serve a particular purpose (e.g. Full Regression, Smoke Tests, etc.) across any number of projects.

The Test Sets page displays your currently available test sets, and enables you to create new test sets as well as edit or execute existing ones.



Create a Test Set

  1. Click the Add button. The Add Test Set window is display,


  2. Fill in a custom Name for the test set.
  3. Add an optional Description for your test set.
  4. Use the Environment drop-down to select the environment for your desired test projects. The available projects from that environment are displayed in the window.
Note: The Environment field is only available in classic folders.
  1. Use the checkboxes to select your desired project(s).
Note: Additionally, you can Edit the project version and toggle to Include Prerelease versions.
  1. Click Next. The Select Test Cases window is displayed.



  2. Use the checkboxes to select your desired test case(s).
  3. Click Create. Your test set is created and available.

Edit a Test Set

  1. From the Test Sets page, select the More Actions menu of your desired test set and click Edit. The Edit Test Set window is displayed with that test set open for editing.
  2. Make all desired changes to the Name,Description,Environment,Projects, and Test Cases. The Environment is available only in classic folders.
  3. Click Save to confirm your changes or Close to exit without saving.

Clone a Test Set

From the Test Sets page, select the More Actions menu of your desired test set and click Clone. The Clone Test Set window is displayed with the Description and Environment of the existing Test Set selected.
Note: The Environment field is only available in classic folders.
  1. Enter a custom Name for the cloned test set.
  2. Select the desired Projects using the checkboxes.
Note: Additionally, you can Edit the project version and toggle to Include Prerelease versions.
  1. Click Next. The Select Test Cases window is displayed.
  2. Use the checkboxes to select your desired test case(s).
  3. Click Save. Your test set is created and available.

Delete a Test Set

  1. From the Test Sets page, select the More Actions menu of your desired test set and click Delete. You are prompted to confirm.
  2. Click Yes to delete the test set or click No to cancel.
    Note: When deleting a test set, the associated test schedule is also deleted.
