Each Oracle OIC activity calls a Oracle Integration REST API using the request parameters you enter in the activity's input properties. To successfully call the Oracle Integration REST APIs, the activities rely on the Oracle Process Scope activity to provide the account credentials that enable access to the Oracle Integration instance.
Using your account credentials (Username, Password) and the integration instance endpoint (URL), the Oracle Scope activity establishes an authenticated connection to your Oracle Integration instance.
How it works
The following steps and message sequence diagram is an example of how the activity works from design time (i.e., the activity dependencies and input/output properties) to run time.
- Complete the Setup steps.
- Add a Get Credential activity to retrieve the Orchestrator asset that contains your username and password.
- Add the Oracle Process Scope activity to your project.
- Enter values for the Credentials and Input properties.

Properties
The values for the following properties are specified when adding this activity to your project in UiPath Studio.

Wizards
The Oracle OIC activities include wizards to test your connection (Connection Wizard) and select a process (Select Process). Currently, only the Start Process activity requires the use of the wizards.
Connection Wizard
To build your project and enable the select process wizard in the Start Process activity, you connect to your Oracle Integration instance using the connection wizard.
To use the connection wizard:
- Click Configure (this opens the connection wizard).
- Enter your Oracle Integration instance URL, Username, and Password (variables are not accepted).
- Click Test Connection and wait for the connection success window.
After a successful connection, the select process wizard is enabled.
Note
The values that you enter in the Configure Connection window test the connection only. Before you run the activities, you must enter the values in the Oracle Process Scope properties.
