# Wait for event

> The nodes in the Wait for event category of the Add node panel: pause a run until a time passes, an app event happens, or a web call arrives.

The **Wait for event** category of the **Add node** panel holds the nodes that pause a run until something happens. The run continues once the time has passed or the event has arrived.
