# GitHub

> Look up the GitHub connector: its actions and events in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of a GitHub connection.

The GitHub connector lets a workflow manage repositories, issues, pull requests, and branches. In the **Add node** panel, it's in the **Connector** category, under **GitHub**. [How connector nodes work](how-connector-nodes-work.md) describes how a connector node is set up.

This page lists what the connector can do in Maestro Automate. Select an action or event to see how to configure it.

## Connection

A GitHub node signs in through a connection. [Create a connection](create-a-connection.md) describes how to create one from the node. On the **Connect to** page, choose one of these sign-in methods:

| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| **OAuth 2.0 Authorization code** | Organization, Account type, and the username and password associated with your GitHub account. |
| **Bring your own OAuth 2.0 app** | Client ID, Client secret, Organization, Account type. |

[GitHub authentication](https://docs.uipath.com/integration-service/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/uipath-microsoft-github-authentication) in the Integration Service guide describes the full connection setup, including prerequisites and advanced settings.
