# Renaming documents

> Rename a file attached to a requirement, test case, or test set.

Change the display name of a file in the Documents tab of a requirement, test case, or test set. The file itself stays attached to the same item.

## Steps

1. Open your project in Test Manager.
2. Navigate to your artefact (**Requirement**, **Test Case**, **Test Set**).
3. Select an entry in the list to open it.
4. Go to the **Documents** tab.
5. Select a file and select **Rename**.
6. Enter a new name and select **OK** to confirm changes.

## Result

The file displays the new name in the **Documents** tab.
