# About this chapter

> Desktop product release notes chapter, covering Studio, Robot, and related locally installed applications.

The **Desktop product release notes** chapter covers release notes for UiPath desktop products.

## What's in this chapter

Desktop products are applications installed locally on user workstations. Products covered in this chapter include:

- **Studio** — the development environment for building automations
- **Robot** — the execution engine that runs automations
- **Assistant** — the end-user interface for running and managing automations

These are not the same as standalone web-based products. Standalone products (Orchestrator, Action Center, Insights, and Test Manager) are web-based applications deployed outside of a platform, on your own infrastructure, accessed through a browser. They are covered in the Standalone product release notes chapter.

**How release notes are organized:**

Release notes are organized by Long-Term Support (LTS) version (for example, 2024.10 or 2025.10). Each version page covers the initial release and is followed by Cumulative Update (CU) pages. Each page includes:

- **Release highlights** — a curated summary of the most significant updates for each desktop product. Highlights are not comprehensive.
- **Release notes catalog** — a table of product versions included in that release, with release dates and links to individual product release notes.
- **Activity package versions** — a list of activity packages bundled in the installer for that version.

For a complete list of changes, always refer to the individual product release notes linked in the catalog tables.
